The Hermitage in Bayreuth is a historical park built in 1715. There is also the so-called Old Castle, the New Castle (the Greenhouse with the Temple of the Sun) and many other buildings.
The landscape park is a pearl and a vivid example of 18th century horticultural culture. The park has a diverse structure, with artificial ruins in the form of a ruined theater (1743), an ancient tomb, a hermitage for Margrave Friedrich III. and a series of fountains.
The garden is divided into zones with gazebos, alleys and water bodies.
