Because he's uncomfortable. He was out of his depth on this show. He was too sensitive and had no ability to laugh off the jokes or give it back. his body language makes it clear that he's way out of his comfort zone here.

The real most awkward moment ever on Buzzcocks was Dappy mistaking Martha Wainwright for Cerys Matthews. Real toe-curling stuff.

Huey fighting the urge to walk off but staying till the end because he cant forego the appearance fee. Ironic that his group was called the fun lovin' criminals. Cleary doesn't love fun, and not much of a criminal.

There's some speculation that when Buzzcocks was on, Phill would use his appearances on other panel shows (mainly QI) as catharsis. The more irritating the guest they'd just had on Buzzcocks, the funnier Phill would be on QI.

Well they have and its been watered down and its just another mundane panel show .

After Simon Amstell left the show, it went downhill, living on its past glories. There were still some great moments but it became self-conscious and lost the humor.

Although I quite liked when they got Dale Winton to do it, his gay banter with Phil was funny as hell. “Dale can say anything and in the right context it sounds like filth….. watch, I’ll prove it now; Dale, what did you have for breakfast this morning? - and use the voice”! ….Dale bursts out laughing “what voi…..?!….. I think Huey's annoyance is they pick one of his old classic tracks, rather than anything more recent so he starts getting wound up and the kicker is Kavanagh who he's obviously never heard of so he's thinking how the hell am I supposed to name the next line then. Actually, the mugs are for tea and the plastic cups are for water. You can see the tea fly out of the mug when he goes to smash it, I doubt they would have staged it and risked Phil and the lady's eye sight by having shrapnel go everywhere.
