Most Asked For Tamiya Kit By You! Wild Willy 2 Unboxing RC Icon.
An extremely famous vintage Tamiya that we all know and love, is the Wild Willy Jeep. With its early comical styling and big bouncy wheels, it was a hit from the start. Back in the day, I remember these zooming around, totally out of control pulling wheelies. In this video, we will unbox the Wild Willy 2 kit and take a look at all the parts that come in the box.

I am almost finished building my wild willy 2.
I still need to Build the one that the RC Elf got for me! I’ll have to dig it out soon for a build!
I love my WW2, built about 7 years ago, painted up with a Humbrol military green which is a great colour for it, I am so happy with mine, the original was the car I always wanted as a kid 😊
Love the WR02 platform :) I have the Honda City Turbo and the VW T1 bus versions :)
I did one last summer and put bearing in the gearbox and went for shock upgrade, shapeways jerry can cover and original style front end
My original still runs, radio control crystal brown, only changed tyers and battery 😊
Would love to see the mud blaster released again.
OMG- How spooky, was actually looking at one today. Back in 80`s the guy that owed Tandy models plus was giving a demo of this car up and down shop as i was buying my tamiya ford ranger!!
Totally unrelated to the actual video subject, but the intro is much much much better.. the “hi” in the intro is short and simple.. usually it’s that long “hiiiii” which sounds a bit funny after a while. Just throwing this out there 😅
Fun build, I did one last summer. Chassis goes together fast. Body takes alot longer than you think...
I remember seeing the original Wild Willy running at a local RC club in the mid 1980's and at the time they seemed rather ridiculous, spending most of their time rolling over and crashing. 4 decades later, I can appreciate their vintage charm but for me, the Willy's Wheeler is even more special, being really fantastic looking and now a rare classic Tamiya kit.
Yet another one I missed because of the new job.. I’d love to have a wild Willy
I vote for pro painting of the body, it is such a classic :)
Mine didn’t come with an esc, but I can’t complain I got it for a very good price
Very cool video and informative, thanks!
Really fun build. Build it 2 years ago for my daughter. Painting is the most time consuming but worth it. Great kit
YES! I love playing with my Willy!
Absolutely awesome love this car it’s a true icon 😊😊
I did the the tumbling bull variant of this chassis a few months back basically an old school tractor , really fun to mess about with, my daughter liked making it wheelie. Good bit if fun. The last parts tree spru you looked at with the hexes on is the battery retainer ;) look forward to seeing what you do with it :)
Online I've seen big groups of these gathered together for racing with colorful paintjobs and unique themes. Looks like so much fun.
