I was there '88-'90 ...3 great summers. Worked in the kitchens as a welly boy. I remember Danny who used to empty the swill. Still see him around Drogheda. Action man who used to stir the soup. The two mad brothers who used to work on the plate machine. PJ who used to empty the bins. These were mosney hardliners and Mosney was their life. Have to say I had some great times there....Bring it back!!!!!!

Wonderful place for kids and indeed parents way back in the day. Every day was different with loads of events and competitions to keep everyone happy and entertained. The chairoplanes in the fun park were our favourite. My abiding memory was the tannoy system with a cheery wake up call in the mornings and the trumpet music playing during the day.Have you ever been lonely and blueberry hill were the great recurring tracks.Best holiday ever. It was truly a wonderland for kids .🎠🎡

I cannot ever see Mosney ever opening again as a holiday attraction. Possibly as a visitors centre or theme play park.... but definitely never as a commercial venture. It just is not viable. Profit is not made on memories! But my memories of the place are brilliant. I am just sad that my Mum and Dad are no longer living to relive it with me!

Was there in 97 and 95. Lads it’s sadly missed it was craic at its simplest. My mom said it was a holiday that paid for itself. I’ve a 6 month old myself and it’s a shame there’s nothing like this there now. From what I heard center parks is a rob. At least we have the memories

I remember getting served in Dan Lowery's at 17 🤣 The Dublin lads suggested I get a pint and join them for a scoop, so I sauntered up and with my Clare accent I said a pint of Bud please, I was now a man 😊 I'm 45 now off the hooch since 2003

We need Mosney back open, it is still viable to be a holiday centre again and visitor numbers will increase again. I've had a few dreams about the Mosney Holiday Centre, paticularly the Funtropica World when I was about 5 years old before I've even heard of the place for real or seen photos of the camp. So in a way, I too have memories of this place. But yes, I can see Mosney reopening as a holiday attraction again.
