  • @NORTH02

    @NORTH02

    4 жыл бұрын

    I haven’t looked into it but I am sure there is an answer, your welcome to do your own research but I’ll share my informal thoughts. Perhaps it’s was just a thick tail use for defense and swatting enemies and then the osteoderms on the tail gradually became larger for defense and display. I don’t know if this is true but this is just a theory.

    First and most Thank you for your quality work and informations you provide. I’m gonna ask for something different from prehistoric animal... Can you make some informative videos a out recently animals that got extinct? Tazamanian wolf, birds, reptiles, and if you go even in older archeological discoveries some agent mammals,birds, reptiles got disappear right about humans (hominids) appeared there. Interesting and probably important for some of us to realize how much our species contributed for it. Wellie Mammoth, lions, bears, and probably dinosaurs, specially if you consider the new archeological findings that puts humanoids co-survive with the last’s dinosaurs. Sorry for my mistakes. My native language is Greek. Happy new year 😘😘😘 it’s 31/12/2021 20:55 here in Cyprus. Happiness to all....!!!!

    I am not qualified to confidently answer this question. However, I would posit the theory that gill breathing is at some point less efficient than lung breathing once body size reaches a certain critical mass. This might be the major reason. If this theory is mistaken, I would greatly appreciate an answer from someone more knowledgeable on this matter. The bones and muscles of animals that have had to evolve against gravity and with a ready supply of lung supplied oxygen may also have some advantages. These are just some theories from someone without a background in this area. I am also curious about this.
