Mortiser and Doweler! Amazing 2 in 1 Woodworking Tool! // Zıvana ve Kavela Birleştirme Aracı

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Hello friends, in this video i'll be making a handheld mortiser and doweler machine. You can do this for all handheld milling machines. This tool can be an inexpensive alternative to the festool domino. You can find all the measurements at the end of the video.

Nice jigs. Simpler and quicker to make than some of the more versatile mortising designs out there. I’ve always been put off by making a sledgehammer to crack a nut. If you are making lots of furniture then it makes sense to build some that takes xxxx hours to build - but for simpler tasks this makes much sense. I might go for simpler bearings, though.

Great project. I’m going to build this, with a minor change. I’d cut a window on the front and apply plexiglass with guide lines much like what you did with the edge guide. This would allow for edge to face joint in the middle of a plank.

Your projects and videos continue to improve! I have seen other KZread videos about similar devices, but yours clearly shows every step of the construction, and the parts you use are easily sourced. I had never heard of "LME bearings", but they are plentiful and cheap on eBay in a range of sizes, and the rest of the parts can be made from materials that most creators can find in the nearest hardware store (or Dumpster...) if they don't already have them in their junk box.

Impressive skills as always! I made a slightly different version of this tool from Pask Makes, and the biggest problem I ran into was realizing joints with acceptable accuracy, because yeah, wood frame is not as rigid as metal, and even very little bending while doing the mortise, results in a visible inaccuracy in the joint...
