As much as people like to rag on Raiden for making the altered timeline worse, he did at least try to convince Scorpion to spare Bi-Han so they'd have one less powerful enemy. Maybe even gain a new ally.

i mean Ed Boon said it best himself, Noob Saibot is a dark entity shrouded with mystery, and its that mystery that makes you want to know more and get invested into him, absolutely fan fave of mine

Part of me thinks that Quan Chi fused Bi-Han’s soul with a shadow demon ( The Saibot) to help alter his personality and bend his mind towards the undying loyalty to the NetherRealm.. that’s what also caused his ice powers to be replaced with shadow/ghost abilities. Seems plausible considering that Revenant Kuai Liang kept his ice powers, where’s Bi-Han was completely transformed.

Noob isn't a revenant tho, but a wraith. Revenants are souls who belong to a nekromancer (Quan chi in this kase). As a wraith Quan chi doesn't own his soul but any of the few redeeming qualities Bi-han had were purged making him a being of pure evil.

I'm glad you expanded Bi-Han's story and his tragic fate, he was killed by Scorpion In both timelines and revived by Quan Chi to become Noob Saibot, the sad thing is he never wanted to be changed back and embraced evil, who knows how he would have been if he didn't, thanks Fabian for the dark story of Bi-Han as Noob Saibot 👍

"Something new" Noob-Zero? Sub-Sibot?

I think the running comment has to do with what Sub-Zero does after defeating Fujin. While Sub-Zero bested Fujin, the wind god is thinking in the grand scheme. No one actually died so it can be assumed Fujin was not yet finished with Sub-Zero.

Bi-han embraced and enjoyed his new identity(next scene he is jumping over a rope and having fun 😜)

Bi Han is arguably best written character before story goes downhill. The thing I really didn't like about new timeline is the retcon about Bi Han. They completely ignored Sub Zero Mythologies and made him outstraight out villan. Whereas Cyber-Sub Zero and Noob confrontation was really good how Sub Zero says they turned former shadows of themselfs. That could be genuin good writing but screwed after "you are not my brother" stupidity. MKX completely wasted huge opportunity with not including Noob Saibot. Lastly MK 11, he is just a jobber. I really don't how can a writer not figure out with what to do these characters. If you wanna make him full villian make him threatning. Make him like Scorpion, gets stronger fueled with wrath and seriously Jax and Jackie? He has no connection with them make him final villian for Sub Zero and Scorpion. Or better writing, make his redemption once showing how Scorpion feeling guilty after how he killed him due to Quan Chi's manupulation. How about turn the table, this time him killing Hanzo but no freaking Dvorah killed Hanzo. Use Sereena or Frost meaningfull. Lin Kuei and Shirai Ryu has huge potential with all these characters but inept writers can't use them.

He wasn't really retconned though. In Mythologies they made it clear that Bi-Han's soul was already tainted by evil. Bi-Han and the Lin Kuei were murderers and thieves for hire. Neither Scorpion or Sub-Zero were saints, which is why they both went straight to the Netherrealm. And Scorpion was never really a villain either, he simply wanted revenge. In MK2 he was actually protecting Kuai Liang. And after Kuai Liang took the mantle he reformed the Lin Kuei as a force of good, and he mentally distanced himself from his brother. And also, Bi-Han only stopped Shinnok in Mytholgies because he had to. He was standing in front of a pissed off god of thunder demanding that he undo the problem that he caused.

@@nemesis3587 I think it was to make them both very different characters from eachother. Scorpion didn't choose his fate, and he never wanted to be Scorpion. Bi-Han though, enjoyed his power as Noob Saibot. Even his brother failed to restore him in Armageddon, while Kenshi was able to restore Scorpion in the new timeline. Different sides of the same coin

Everyone making it seem like bi Han always wanted to be evil just because he accepted the evil side? He was killed unjustly and nobody gave punishment. How was he suppose to feel? Of course he’s just gonna say the world is evil so I kinda respect him in a sense. He has a fuck it attitude and he only shows allegiance to the person that revived him.

Great question. According to Kuai's MK11 ending he makes it clear that Bi-Han was rotten to the core. He studied every aspect of his life to see what caused him to be the way he was. I think Bi-Han would've killed Sektor and taken control of the Lin Kuei for his own selfish reasons, or let himself be cyberized. Let's not forget he also enjoys being Noob Saibot. Has no desire to restore his old self.

Maybe Skarlet reminds Noob Saibot of the time he beat Sareena in Mythologies. When you actually think about it, Skarlet is in a similar situation like Sareena, only with Shao Kahn is a father-daughter relationship in contrast to Quan Chi and Sareena who are a master-slave relationship. In theory, Skarlet though loyal to her parental figure Shao Kahn, she seems to want more in life than just that. Maybe she could be redeemed. She wants love and acceptance but only had a fling with Erron Black which lead to nowhere and she gets defensive whenever being judged as evil by other Kombatants from her being associated with Shao Kahn. So what do you think of those countless theories from fans about the implications of a love/hate tension going on between Skarlet and Sub Zero (Kuai Liang) during their intros and the names of their alternative costumes even hinted at that? Skarlet is a very complex character with potential depth.. imagine Sareena and Skarlet forming a mutual understanding due to their tragic backgrounds.. though raised by evil, they can become good by destiny...

I really gotta play MK11...
