i just tried the force claws freeze move and i followed up with a 1, 1, 2, 2, 2 kombo. thanks man. this video helped.

Thank you, I really appreciate it! I uploaded a Reset Tutorial for Smoke and will do more full character tutorials soon! Been playing Destiny and The Last of Us Remastered is coming out soon as well so I might be a bit before I get to those full character tutorials but stay tuned :D

xD it was mixed but ultimatly fruitful, sometimes it just comes out of no where and hits you like a ton of bricks, but anyway i liked your video and the music...lol, nice combos too im not so good with sub i usually bait with a ice clone or use his Y, X combo with a ice blast followed by a Y,Y then ice slide and some other simple noob'ish combos, witch is also what made me want to watch your vid again.. but enough of my ramblin xD

How did you do those awesome combos I've been trying to figure out how to do the since I had this game

I like to delay the ice clone for a second, and then watch them jump into it. Leading into a simple juggle combo.

the mix ups wit the overhead are very punishable if blocked, which is very easy to do

ON PS3 1 = Square 2 = Triangle 3 = X 4 = Circle ON XBOX 1 = X 2 = Y 3 = A 4 = B f = Forward b = Back d = Down u = Up Hope this helps :D

good video, im good with Sub already but the video still helped a lot. but what do you mean when you say RESET ?? like sub zero is not a heavy reset character, what exactly do you mean by Reset ? anyone ??

Reset means additional damage that is not guaranteed but almost impossible to escape if done correctly. Watch my Smoke Reset Combo Tutorial for a better understanding of a reset; I further explain it in detail.

I don't let my subs down haha :) I'll do a tutorial for more characters as well as subzero. Just got my HD PVR 2 so I can finally record my PS4 and Xbox One gameplay... but I'll definitely hop back on MK9 soon.

hey man i was wondering if you can help me out. i just got the game but i was able to do some of these combos. however i dont know why but i can no longer execute special moves after any combo. i dont know why and its frustrating me. i would use y x b combo and then end it with the ice slide but i cant get the ice slide to go right after the kick anymore.

You have to buffer the backforward b for that to work. try it in practice mode. So in other words, just do the special moves as the last hit of the combo is being performed.

You gotta press it consecutively or in rapid succession

Bro I was just watching a sub-zero player use a three hit combo that launches the opponent and then he caught him in air with an ice ball. Then he instantly used meter burned ice puddle so that when the opponent's character unfreezes they fall into the ice puddle and get stuck for a reset. He's the only guy I've ever seen use that.

Neilie Yurrie In reality, Neilie is right unfortunately. Sub Zero is one of the worst characters or hardest characters to play in MK9. Especially in match ups against Kabal, Cyrax and Kung Lao, I feel that Sub Zero has a difficult time handling the pressure against them because they can be "Keep out," characters.
