Alan Lee is amazing on his own league, but Tagawa genius cannot be replaced... How he fully immersed us into this character and made us forget it was only voice-acting...truly a masterpiece of a performance

I LOVE how the OG Shang Tsung from the 90s movie is the model and the voice actor is the actor himself!!

Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa just has too much natural charisma... I wish this man could stay Shang Tsung for always.

We'll see soon if he will be back in MK1. There are some interesting twists revealed so far: Mileena and Kitana are for example in better terms than before, albeit there is still some tension between them. Now Scorpion and Sub-zero are brothers: Bi-han is now Sub-zero, with Kuai Liang taking role of scorpion(presumably). Oh, and Raiden is back, except he's human now and younger. He still has lightning powers, though.

I honestly love how they added the whole thing about Shang Tsung stealing the souls of those he kills. It makes his character so much more intimidating and interesting.

Prior to this game, I never would have imagined it, but there is something really satisfying about hearing Keith David and Cary Hiroyuki Tagawa as Spawn and Shang Tsung.

I love how much of an unapologetic A-hole Shang Tsung has always been. I love how even Joker of all people doesn't like being jabbed by the sorcerer. No matter the situation Shang always comes across as the evil magician with tons of backup plans and quips.

I love that they basically made Shang Tsung's fantasies of Sonya canon now

I honestly can’t see a single flaw in the theme of Shang Tsung. Cary's voice slow and confident and his face the same. Makes him come off as scheming and opportunistic. Like he is planning only his success and his plan is playing out perfectly.

Oh cool, they referenced Shang Lao. That was gonna be Shang Tsung's name back when Kitana was gonna be his daughter under the name Kitsune, which is probably why Shang Tsung is Mileena's creator in the lore.

Ol' Cary had a unique, understated method of delivery for his lines compared to the others. Or, as I submit, he was just drunk the whole time he was recording. I wonder about Dimitri also.

The actor/voice actor IS Shang Tsung, and will always be on the MK community, you can't change that ! The voice, the laugh, the style, the model, the personnality.. Everything that the actor did on the IRL movie as Shang Tsung makes the character on MK11 more likeable, nicer and cool (and many more lol). Like the actor was born to be Shang Tsung irl, THE Shang Tsung we all need in the game franchise. It's just that perfect!
