Other way around - Fujin is a borrowed God from the other end of the Silk Road in Greece, spread by merchants along the trade route; as Boreas he went as far as Bactria, then crossed into China and eventually became Fujin/Shinatsuhiko in Japan. Normally he was on shrines and stuff (Ancient Greeks and Shinto alike) as a temperamental old man carrying a bag of the major seasonal winds, but with full control over the littler kind - same deal as Boreas.
