I love and Hate this ending. It's wholesome to see Hanzo Hasashi living a happy life. But it sucks not seeing him as scorpion. It's better off this way not to have to suffer as scorpion and seeing his family getting slaughter endless amounts of time. Even with the power of the hour glass he couldn't stop the fate sealed of him loosing his family and becoming a undead ninja from hell

Gotta give the team behind the modern games credit is knowing when to reboot things as after Armageddon there was nothing left to work with so doing a soft boot made Sense and when we had MK 11 it was pretty much the Endgame to the MK timeline so doing a New timeline made Sense as Reboots need to happen if the story has been done and dusted

At the very least, let's just hope that Yosuke- I mean Smoke, doesn't get ridiculed alot.

It’s nice to see smokes new apprentice smog to finally make a debut in mortal kombat.

And the voice of smoke is Yuri Lowenthal who voiced Ben Tennyson from Alien Force and Ultimate Alien, Marth from smash Ultimate and Engage, ps4 spiderman, and Sasuke.

I love how Tomas' ending also parallels Kuai Liang's ending with both Harumi and Hanzo Hasashi. A shame that it seems like the Shirai Ryu and Lin Kuei are destined to be bitter enemies once again, but at least these versions of Scorpion and Smoke don't get the short end of the stick this time around.

How ironic is it that now the 'original' Scorpion (Hanzo) is now menteed by the palette-swapped Scorpion (Smoke)?

@@thisone981 I believe that kuai’s old friend should have been hanzo who was starting a clan with his wife harumi, then later down the line kuai and hanzo co-found the shirai ryu. Then in smoke’s ending the boy is revealed to be hanzo’s son. That will make more sense and be something new in terms of story. I would also make hanzo and kuai playable in the next game then make hanzo’s son, a combat kid in the next game, his nickname could be takeda if they want. From what’s it’s looking like kuai and/or harumi will die which will start the same story with hanzo as usual…

Very likely since the first Shirai Ryu in the original canon was named Takeda, and the new one simply took the mantle

For those who are coming up with revenge plots about how Bi-Han will kill Kuai Liang and Hanzo will retake his mantle as Scorpion, why do we assume revenge? This is still a world where Liu Kang has his Titan powers. Maybe he can set it up so that the Shirai Ryu WIN this time against the Lin Kuei. Kuai Liang becomes leader and takes the mantle of Sub-Zero and Hanzo takes up the mantle of Scorpion. (Look, I just want a happy ending for Hanzo Hasashi, man.)

At least Smoke was able to escape the cyber initiative along with Kuai Liang and build their own clan to fight Bi Han and possibly the Cyber Lin Kuei

I know its been confirmed that it was Takeda in the DLC reveal but after seeing this ending I have a theory on why that was Hanzo. Kuai Liang and Harumi probably die to Bi-Han, Smoke looks after the Shirai Ryu while Hanzo is sent into hiding with Kenshi's clan. There, he changes his name to Takeda and trains with the Takahashi clan till he's old enough and strong enough to join the fight against Bi-Han. This also sets up the "Scorpion Hanzo fighting Sub Zero Bi-Han for taking his family" story arc. And yes I know it wouldn't work cuz gameplay-wise Scorpion would still be alive but what if they fix that by making the Hanzo/Takeda Scorpion go back in time to save Kuai Liang. NRS isnt really a stranger to unnecessary time travel. Yes, it's a big stretch but I'd honestly prefer that over a Takeda who just jumped timelines.

Hello the tower ending movies are locked on the switch version is there a way to unlock Lock them I only have 9 fighters endings unlocked so far but I could not get Baraka,Asharah,Raiden, Scorpion,Kitana need some good advice only did short novice tower but still these Tower endings are still Locked in Kollection movies Menu

In the Invasion ending, he really mad that Kuai Liang got married Harumi in Liu Kang timeline, and decided to burn everything down. However, he got defeated by Kuai Liang and Liu Kang soon after that. To ease his anger, Liu Kang has promised to find Hanzo a timeline that Harumi still alive. And he did find one. In this timeline, Hanzo and his son were dead, and Harumi become Scorpion. Now OG Hanzo got reunited with Harumi, and together, they fought along side to revenge Quan Chi.

Giving vibes they kill kuai liang and hanzo will take the mantle😑
