Underdawg that music that comes on at the end of your videos is absolutely Atrocious! I love your videos very much, but when I start hearing that ending music come on, I either have to exit right away or cut my ears off! Honeybee also has Atrocious music at the end of his videos...

The main point of the EX air fireball is he falls down to the ground faster meaning less recovery

The thing with LK is that despite a ton of safe strings, he also has a ton of flawless block gaps

Liu is a god now, so it makes sense

I was disappointed too about the Bicycle kick being changed, but you do see it in all its glory on LK's Fatal Blow. Dunno why the change, but satisfying to hear that when landing the Fatal Blow

The reason why the amplified air fireballs do less damage is because it has a very fast recovery. Your opponent can punish the regular air fireballs, but when amplified it’s safe. The recovery is so fast you can still get up in your opponents face if they block it and can continue your pressure

I think it would be cool if they made his ex air fire balls a single hit but with decent damage and be able to combo after it like in MKX and instant air it low enough to hit a standing opponent. It'll pay some homage to his MKX version.

What nether realm really fails to do is realize that like with subzero you can Nerf his damage but if the character has so many utility tools that getting a hit is almost guaranteed, it doesn’t matter. There’s some characters in this game with a plethora of utility smoke subzero Liu Kang, just to name a few and then there’s characters that have almost none were very situational utility abilities.

i was in a school tournament and i got defeated so hard by a liu kang. like i thought i had it in the bag cause my previous opponent got bodied so hard he rage quitted.

Liu's ex fireball doesn't beat Kameo projectiles, which is annoying lol. Also you can just throw out the non-ex dragon kick projectile without Liu kicking afterwards, no idea how to do it but I've done it a couple of times without the kick and I wish I could figure out how to do it consistently. Also, i use the ex air fireball for fast recovery, he falls faster. I never use the dancing dragon other than as a wake-up, I use Kung as a Kameo, but I'm gunna be learning scorpion here soon, didn't know you could combo off the ex dancing dragon, being able to combo off a wake-up would be pretty good. Unsure if it'll be better than being able to combo off a grab though, maybe so because using the armored dancing dragon in gaps of opponent's strings then comboing off that ex dancing dragon... Yeah, scorpion may be the best Kameo for Liu.

If oponent duck on non-ex dragoncick Liu won't fly. Scorpion alows you to do 42 combo for 2 cameo or cameo and the meter. Also it allows you to do combo fron ex dragondance on 22-26. But Kung Lao allow you to do combo from back throw on 22 and give you +3 hat.

Lui can honestly work with any kameo imo. I think he's one of the few who can actually utilize Shujinko to great effect since he has zoning tools so you can charge Shujinko in the back and as seen in the video he also has tools to push the opponent back which also protects Shujinko. Stryker is another good one since he makes up for Lui Kang's lack of mix ups so you can trick your opponent very easily with Stryker.

I knew early on liu would be one of my faves, he’s flashy, fun, has plenty of combo choices especially with Lao assist, but getting duck blocked all the time can be frustrating and his faster attacks are pretty stumpy so you take the bad with the good

Liu Kang's been my boy since Armageddon (ironically I began at the end), imagine my surprise when I played MK9 and he was the protagonist, and MK1 where he became a god.

Damn you kinda late to the party. Liu Kang was the primary protagonist for the whole franchise. He started big, ass whooping all the main villain from the first MK until MK4. It was MKDA (the time when John Tobias left the team), Midway/NRS ruined Liu Kang's character until they redeem him back in MK11 (in MK9, he is just semi-redeem because his role in that game is a co-protagonist since the main protagonist goes to Raiden)

​@@shawziiz5031 I didn't know who tf Liu Kang was since my first installment was Deadly Alliance, my second installment was Deception, and that's when I knew about him lol But I caught on early that he was the protagonist.

Guess he wanted to show off what he picked up from MK 11. In all seriousness he’s fun and I like the flashy strings you can pull up, even his FB is an overhead so he can be even deadlier with that F14 into EX dragon breath. I only wish his dragon’s breath was a brutality because it’s the perfect animation for the classic dragon bite.

I knew the second i started the game i was choosing LK and i realized he was a zoner but i love playing him cause it just feels good to juggle enemies every second

I loved Liu since MKX and im so happy with how he turned out in MK1

standing 1 is a great anti-air aswell if you think they’re going to empty jump or it catches alot of people jumping over you

On the topic of zoners can you dig into Reiko please? Ltg is making those shuriken look frustrating to get around

its too fun catching people with liu kangs Back 2, 3 launcher.....so satisfying catching people trying to hit u. i like to just repeat the same thing everytime i catch em with it lol..combo be like .b2,3.....b2,3.....333 flyingkick (about 40 percent) Or in the corner b2,3 b2,3 333 (amp fire) 333 (amp fire) 1 , flying kick (round 44 percent). the mans combos are devastating the damage is ridiculous

You also forgot to mention that his throw is combo-able with certain Kameos. He really has a little bit of everything, honestly, and he's definitely a top 5 imo.

Burning desire is a great combo extender in the corner with a kameo, i use sonya to keep it going and it does really easy but really high damage

lui kangs bf3 can catch kameos and punish like if you have someone you think is gonna call frost for the freeze you can hit her even if they are ducking and blocking and the kick connects

You can duck alot of liu strings cause they are highs down block if u not risky subzero cameo takes Away his zoning or motaro deflects them his forward 4 last hit can be flawless blocked the 1 overhead combo he has u can see it coming a mile away . I main liu/motaro trust me he's very beatable

Hi TUG, Never liked Lui Kang ever in any fighting game. In Mortal Kombat 1 I have to admit he is quite a bit of fun. He has really nice fatalities as well.

Honestly the bicycle kick from mk11 looked so silly. Just floating In the air. Mkx bicycle kick was king. Looks almost believable

As a liu kang enjoyer, I have a question. Did they stop dragons tail from being input after holding back? I used to have a weird corner combo with that in mind but now no matter when or how i input dragons tail it doesn't want to come out after holding back. I havent played in a bit so idk whats happening

Bruce Lee sendups tend to be joke characters so it's nice to see NRS put respect on the name, making the tribute character a literal kung fu god.

yeah sure not having overheads in some games doesn't make a difference BUT in a game like mk1 where the most op characters have good overheads then it's a big deal bc

I playe d Kang tonight and though I ruined the guy, they showed me some wld stuff he can do. He can use Kung Lao to interrupt his throw and combo off it. I also looked at him in the lab as well and I honetsly think he is a very under appreciated character and I think we are gonna see more Kangs online soon BC of it

Hello thereeeee, Liu Kang main here… the point of the enhanced air cosmic flames is that it actually makes the attack plus on block, and actually plus on perfect block so you can actually combo from your air cosmic flames. To see and example I just uploaded a light combo starting with that move with no kameo required

Im so happy bicycle kick isnt a special, shit was so goofy and the new one rules, but its fine even if you like it because he does it in the fatal blow! In fact, i think its the best version of it ever because hes doing it up into the air which makes it seem more plausible than ever before

People who think Liu Kang is OP cannot play this game at a remotely high level. Just duck, half the time they will try to grab then you get a full combo. If they don’t they miss that 6 frame high attack. Like just duck people and you win against him. The zoning is annoying but there are ways to beat it.

Even more so with kameos such as sub or motaro that can deflect/negate any kind o projectiles and for what I learned from the comments it's that those projectiles aren't as strong as the normal projectiles you could throw if you use ones from your kameos, so even more options like Sareena or even Cyrax, so... Yeah

I mean yeah you can duck but you're expecting a grab which can get you in a combo yourself cause you're not blocking or they can throw a special out. What you're suggesting would end up having a decent liu kang player thinking you don't know how to block.

Best throw means you've got the basic mindgame (sorta makes up for no overheads), the charged projectile can seriously gum up the screen when combined with liu's projectiles, and finally the air attack is an excellent way to cover the air while you spam projectiles, forcing them to block

Fire God Liu Kang is basically a Dragon Ball Fighterz character in an MK game.

As a Reiko, I beat lui Kang in zoning battles if they only use low fireball. You can time it so he stands into it pretty intuitively. Will admit that Lui is a menace though, that stagger pressure is insane

Liu in this game is like Noob in MK11, crouch block shuts down every tool he has to open up the opponent except for grab and kameo. Im just glad he isnt as bad as havik when he doesnt have the right kameo

As a liu Kang main I can confirm that I do not give 2 shi-

I dont like to zone. Its a good character but i have a hard time opening people. But after watching pro players i think its more of a me problem and less of a liu problem.

Liu Kang should have been either unlockable, part of DLC pack or unplayable boss!

If this were a game without kameos liu would be one of the best. But kameos make this a very dirty game and he otherwise is a very honest character.
