You can actually tell that Geras is happy with his role. He despised Kronika but he happily took the most difficult duty ever given by Liu Kang.

I loved how MK1 flipped Geras and how he was a villain turned ally

He could always die, just like he did in MK11 Aftermath in the Shang Tsung ending, which is now canon. Point is, nothing really changed other than him getting a huge power boost at the end if this game, they just wanted to make an ending for him that sounds dramatic.

dont think anyone is skilled enough to beat liu kang or damage badly anyway. Hes basically his normal self again before merging with raiden. And a normal liu kang still was the best fighter or one of the best.

Perhaps him dying and reuniting with Kitana in the afterlife (which is the same for all timelines perhaps) is the best ending for Liu Kang's story, which they did this with this one.

i love MK 1 give us multiverse vibe. So the story will never ending and they can make more unique story, maybe the earthrealm was the one that evil and want to conquer another realm. Because earthrealm have more knowledge than another realm

​@@bulthaosen1169 He cant heal himself even if he resets the timeline, he is a titan they exist outside the laws of time, kronika successfully restarted the timeline and had everyone go back except fire god liu kang back in mk11. I doubt it will do anything to him. The immortality thing was only granted to the gods who protects the realms a great example of their immortality was when raiden commited suicide to try and stop onaga but came back as a corrupted version of himself since the healing process had a problem. Titans are strong but they are not immortal in one of the mk11 endings scorpion even became doomguy and hunted down every single titans there is.

Shouldn’t being the keeper of time make you immortal since you are the “keeper of time?!?” 🤔 couldn’t he just reset things and make himself immortal again? He has soo much power and they have to dumb him down for the sake of the story.

​@@kingmars7056 actually, if you see more about it when you are playing as her in the storyline, this Kitana does have interest in Liu Kang, it's just he who knew this was not the Kitana he's looking for. Hopefully, I really hope Titan Kitana survives and, seeing from Liu Kang, let go of her power to her own Geras, which may or may not let to this timeline to turn into one timeline, and she either live together in their hybrid timeline (if may) or leave her timeline to live in this timeline (if may not) to live with Liu Kang for the rest of their mortal life (this fulfilling their wish of a time where fate doesn't conspire them)

Geras makes the most sense anyway. He has openly stated he believes in Liu Kang and even preserved the power for him if he ever needed it again. Geras could have taken the power for himself and done what he wanted to but he chose to continue following Liu Kang. He would probably be happy to continue working to the same goals should he replace Liu Kang.

Being keeper of time make them not age not immortal as in they can never die ,immortal as in they cant die of old age . I say this cuase radien even says there worse fates then death ,those fates are for god/elder gods where when they die either no longer exist like kornikia , or theyer like shinnok where hes just a living head

When he was getting his titian power back during the last chapters of the story, it damaged his body and removed his immortality. So while he will live for eons, he will die from old age one day.

I don't understand something. Raiden transferred his power to liu, that included his mortality. Even when Raiden basically turned himself into a nuclear bomb, he still came back to life due to his immortality so I don't understand how Liu Kang could ever die. And I don't understand why gaining back his power would do damage to his body. If it did, why did'nt it when he first became the keeper to time Bad writing as usual...

It's not bad writing, Raiden in the previous timeline already a god/elder god, remember MK11 ending that Raiden says he was mortal again and will die because of age, same with Liu Kang here, everytime a person given his god/titan power will nerf them into a mortal, but like Raiden and Liu Kang said they still can live for EONS of time.

Its not bad writing, immortality is only granted to those who protects the realms aka demi gods like previous raiden. God Raiden had immortality until he gave it up when he tried to help mortals. Titans were never stated to be immortals granted they can live longer than anyone but they can be killed or hurt if you're strong enough. Raiden, shang tsung, and fujin was able to hurt kronika with the help of shang's crown. That's liu Kang's status, he's strong but not immortal he can live longer than anyone but he can be killed. Kitana is canonically 10,000 years old.
