@@n1mand there are more ways to nerf kharacters than changing movesets... also the better option would be to make the whole roster as good as Johnny, nerfs suck.

So true. I hate watching top 8 because of this reason. 90% of the time it's the same 2-3 meta picks butting heads and it gets real boring real fast. Peacemaker especially is so boring to watch. Eagly + shield + tornado x infinity.

I do want buffs to the rest of the cast, but the issue is at the highest level of competetive play, there will always be a best character, without an exception, so it makes sense if you play for the money that you pick the characters with the greatest moveset and highest success rate.

I was so happy for you getting the name drop in the middle of the tournament! Hearing you get so excited for VideoShangzYo and Mr Dreamy Faysal was like listing to a proud father cheer on his kids, especially on Fathers Day ❤ Ty would be so proud of you man! 💜

and getting the clean round. he ultimately choked and then the last interaction was just sad. he blocked the first hit overhead standing but this poorly executed game gave khamaleon fast 2-hits overhead that even when the first hit is blocked, it doesn't keep you in block stun(standing) to block the second one.

Not at all; the highlight of the tournament was Nicolas unfazed and beating Ninja's Liu. People are not giving Nicolas enough credit.

Even if it was a lot of Peacemaker and Johnny, you can tell all of these players were GAMING. They all deserve big props!

no they dont. it made the tournament boring. i cant tell you how many matches i skipped even though i was watching the live stream. every time i see Johhny or Peacemaker, i just leave and come back later

@@tygersen7513 sure, it was boring, but I'm sure people taking home 100 grand don't care too much about your opinion. It's on NRS, not the player. Also, the fact they played boring does not negate their skill level. Often more casual high level play or mid to high is more fun and engaging, not alpha sweat I will do anything and everything to win a life changing amount of money.

Until someone matches Sonic fox level of mind games it's going to be difficult anyone to beat him long term... For example not using johnny cage's ex tach throw to disable your throw for 8 seconds.. He never used that the entire tournament until the final just to knowledge check ninjakilla and get in his head... That he is ready for anything... Ninjakilla was shook the rest of the set..

@@cudknacks not that exact same mechanic, but other stuff like it. It's pretty evident where the love went though - some characters are dead ass boring - Baraka, Liu (I'm getting hate for this one), Havoc ... others are just amazing. Star power, sento, float / cammio manipulation, morphing ...

@@lordlundin6495 the balance patch for TAKEDA needs massive improvements for some of the characters.... Nitara needs a spell like zone of waste so she can be immune to up blocks.. she also needs an air parry like fujin from mk11.. her whole gameplan has top many counters for.her to stay relevant

@@cudknacks Homelander, Ermac and Omniman shits on Nitara so bad, especially Homelander. Nitara has to spend meter to fly but Homelander can cancel like a normal and do an instant overhead. Feels bad man. Buff Havoc and Lee may while you're at it too. I'm not sure what buffs since I don't play either - probably just improve Lee May frames and remove some gaps.

Highlights of the day, peacemaker getting beat 😊

Me skipping through to find out that basically every single match was Johnny vs Peacemaker:

I think there's no debating that sonicfox is a goat at nrs games and continues to dominate!! Also I'd say top 3 right now is Sonic, Nicolas, and Ninja. With Unjust following close behind. Although i feel if characters get buffed up or peacemaker gets nerfed, more people might be in the conversation.

VGY and Faysal are two players, who trained in RIPs_arena and showed good results. It's a pity Kanimani couldn't make it. Otherwise top three would be different, if only he remained from the very beginning Johnny/Cyrax. This team outperformed, but he was too confident to choose Baraka and Kenshi, which let him down. Hope this lesson will teach him not to be so arrogant, even if you are a prodigy and top one in RIPs_arena roster. Because everybody played as it were last tournament in their life, that's why showed better results than top one on "paper"!

A Lot of Johnny, yes! But it was a pleasure to See how Perfect Sonic played him. He knew that he will win this Tournament. The Reset was just for show imho. After the 1:1, it seems like he let him win. Then… 3:0 😅. Congrats to all Players - Great Tourney 🙌🙌🙌

MK3 was indeed the best Mortal Kombat ever GREAT TO SEE IT COMING BACK INTO THE WORLD

Johnny Cage started off as the main villain of the game when it first came out, it was really only fitting it ended with a mirror in the final match of Pro Komp.

Sonic is the GOAT.

A lot of people can’t accept losing. Sonifox accepts it and always come back stronger

Er, are you forgetting the deadshot only tournament in injustice ii? Or the Jacqui and then later Fujin tournaments in mk11? Of course, you aren't wrong, some light nerphs at the top and some well deserved buffs for the rest and we should be doing better, but at the highest level of gameplay there will always be one or two characters that the pros pick because of just sheer statistics.

I get what you saying but the dead shot only tournament was a one time thing,m11 was reaching the end if its life span when Fujin started dominating in late tournaments so no one really cared,mk1 hasn’t been out for even a year and every tournament has been the same characters it’s gets boring as viewer. early mkx inj and mk11 tournaments had way more character variety in all sets.

Was great to hear shout-outs to Arena from Aqua and Ketchup and Mustard. Hope we'll see at least one bald shiny head among the commentators next year. And also hope to see Kani stronger next year. He really deserved that top 8.

I'll be honest this was such a boring tournament, im really looking forward to the next balance patch

Why block the specials and fatalities i feel like a child

Hey Ripper. I am sorry for my nagging about the audio, it is totally a game issue, but to be honest I didn't think this patch could get worse. From what I've experienced and other players too it occurs in the pyramid stage; I lost two sets to it and got teabagged for my efferts, even though I almost won both despite not knowing where my opponent was. Yet again sorry if I made you second guess yourself.

Xombat looking like a total noob in that shao swap, he had everything going for him and he panicked. No way he loses if he just plays his regular game with his regular characters

Commenting over an already commentated video is crazy

this tourney was pretty trash for 2 reasons: #1 nrs didnt balance peace and johnny well. #2 too many guys were hell bent on winning that they decided to go the cheap route. sonic and ninja held out and were using other casts that werent the top 2 but combo breaker and the online tourneys before CB proved that the rest of the cast would struggle against the 2 cheapest characters. so overall i blame the twins, kombat and unjust. if those 4 simply stuck with their mains, we woulda had a more diverse tournament. the top 8 woulda been sonic: rain, sindel, omni and nitara ninja: liu twins: rain, baraka, raiden unjust: tanya vgy: shang and shao kombat: idk faysal: kitana that line-up would've been much more interesting

@@JadaBoss4 I agree that JC and and PM made the tourney kinda stale but you can’t blame that on the players, blame NRS for their unbalanced game. There’s 200 grand on the line, obviously ur gonna play the best characters to try and win. Also xombat mained JC since day 1.

Damn say what u want about cyraks, i think jhonny makes tournaments boring. Jhonny peacemaker and khameleon needs big nerfs or the game is dead

Sonic has this tendacy to always allow his opponents to beat him and reset the stages again, its like he feel the nees to protect the opponents ego but in truth he is on his own level no one can play like sonic

So nobody's going to talk about Nicholas purposely pulling the delay the matches stunt? The turn off the lights in the stadium stunt. He wanted to stop SonicFoxs momentum so he purposely got out of the game, that doesn't happen by accident bro, he should have been penalized for it, and if there is no there has to be one put in ASAP
