And there's no one tell, and nowhere to run....the 2020 social isolation lockdown album, by the king of social isolation himself. He truly is our prophet for modern times. Always has been ❤❤❤❤❤

Yes I guess lockdown didn't surprise Moz in the least, since isolation is his way of living anyway.
This new album is amazing. Very thankful that Morrissey is still putting out such amazing work.

You know he is Irish to the core when writes a beautiful song about aging and calls it my hurling days are done. Wow!! I got emotional listening to it maybe that's due to be locked up for month. If ur looking at this Mr Morrisey well done!!

Best Morrissey song.makes u think about life and growing old.genius lyricist.
"Oh time, no friend of mine" ❤️
He can still dig real deep into that well of sadness, and that line about "mama and teddy bear.." really stings since the passing of his mother.
Pushing 60 and still as productive as ever. Moz is a British treasure despite the papers trying to paint him as a Nazi lol

@@farmersmith7057 I was born just under a decade after they broke up I’m not even 30 yet but yeah, Moz’s solo career is underrated I like to see it this way: The Smiths were Moz’s adolescence and his solo career is his adulthood in an abstraction of sorts
this song is a work of art , sinks into my soul, i love you Morrissey you are a gift like no other in this world.
This is starting to sound like his best ever album. This track is immediately in my top 10 Morrissey songs ever.

Yes, I wasn't certain what to expect, he has such a depth of work over decades, however this album had me from the first track to the last, and there are few, if any, weak songs. This is class Morrissey, and just what we all needed!

I did not know that, I send their family my prayers during this time. I'm sure she must have known the impact her son's music has had for so many people. As I consider again some of his songs now over the decades, I think at times he often sang from the viewpoint of his youth, and upbringing.
Morrissey, save us.
I close my eyes and take it all in...the brilliance, the lovely voice, the lyrics that we all can relate to...thank you again Morrissey for creating yet another deep meaningful soul touching song...God bless you...❤️✨

Ranks alongside "Late Night, Maudlin Street", "Tomorrow", and "Why Don't You Find Out for Yourself?" as one of his very best songs. Majestic and anthemic.

This is one of his best albums, Smiths or solo. Not a single bad song.
mamamaaaaa + Teddy Bear..... the emotion....
You are such a beautiful person. We all love you and are interested in what you have to say. We are all like you too, poets, and we need to run.. Thanks for helping us brother. Much love, Dan xxx
For me... This is the best song in the album 😋

Me too. Very powerful.
Best song on this album, and one of his all time best
For lack of better description it’s like a contemporary update on a latter day sinatra track when he made records about getting older. Nobody makes records about getting older anymore since we live in an endless youth culture. Maybe dylan and that’s it. So kudos for laying it out as it is. After all how many times should an 80 year old sing jumping jack flash? Ask me again in some decades.

Agree totally. Dead now but you may like the Lou Reed tracks Who am I and Junior Dad which explore similar territory. This particular Morrissey track is one of the best songs I've heard in years. His Sinatra It Was A Very Good Year song.

Johnny and June Carter Cash also performed to the end. I was just watching John's last performance this week, it is a treasure, even though he was frail, he still had the strength to continue on. Dylan of course will probably be writing brilliant lyrics like he had on his last album for years to come.

Paul Wieringa it is a great track that I had the honor of seeing them play live in Toronto with Johnny marr! Unforgettable. Ironically Matt Johnson was still in his thirties when he wrote it, I think.

knight_4_Christ JC is awesome for, among other reasons, letting the fullness of himself show in music. He portrayed himself as the contradictory man he was, but ultimately his heart was noble and with god. I’ve strived for the same truth telling as a songwriter, though my style is nothing like his. Nor could it be. He’s inimitable.
Morrissey number one👏👏👏👏👏 forever!!!!!
How doth this man so enthrall me and fill my heart with joy 🥰
I am very sorry to hear about the loss of his mother. Condolences to Morrissey and the family too. Cinis ad cinerem... Requiescat in pace Elizabeth Dwyer.

I don't agree with everything he has said over the past few years but I will always be a fan of this interesting, fascinating individual. This is a superb melody and judging by the other songs on the new album, it's a welcome return to form.

Time will mold you and craft you But soon, when you're looking away It will slide up and shaft you Oh, time Oh, time No friend of mine Mama, mama and teddy bear Were the first full firm spectrum of time Now my hurling days are done And there's no one to tell and there's nowhere to run Time, a blossoming clover But soon it will say, "Okay, come on son, bend over" Oh, time Oh, time No friend of mine Oh mama, mama and teddy bear Were the first full firm spectrum of time But now my hurling days are done And there's no one to tell and there's nowhere to run Time places no pressure on you But soon it explains what it means by the Funky Alfonso Oh, time Oh, time No friend of mine Oh mama, mama and teddy bear Were the first full firm spectrum of time But now my hurling days are done And there is no one to tell and there's nowhere to run Time will send you an invoice And you pay with your strength and your legs and your sight and your voice Oh mama, mama and teddy bear Were the first full firm spectrum of time But now my hurling days are done And there is no one to tell and there's nowhere to run
