Something I have done with kit coil springs is I drill out the center with successively larger drill bits to get the inside to be as thin as possible but still look to be scale accurate. When I can see light through the insides of the windings I will leave the spring on the final bit size & then use a hobby knife & small files to open the area around the spring so it look realistic. Brilliant work - my only note (as somebody who has built the Tamiya model and who also owns a real Mk1 Mini) is that the rear face of the rear sub-frame has been moulded incorrectly. I think they have attempted to include the 2 curved rear hydro-elastic pipes but this has been done very clumsily, looking more like 2 large curved additions to the subframe, which then look like hefty metal elements of the sub-frame itself, but which are in fact two curved hydraulic hoses. Your brake servo installation is a work of art!

Fantastic job 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

always so much fun to watch! thank you!
I know your secret to making such a beautiful model. in reality you have a machine for shrinking an actual car. not possible otherwise. more than a great job. a work of art

Amazing job so far
insane attention to detail
Something I have done with kit coil springs is I drill out the center with successively larger drill bits to get the inside to be as thin as possible but still look to be scale accurate. When I can see light through the insides of the windings I will leave the spring on the final bit size & then use a hobby knife & small files to open the area around the spring so it look realistic. You do amazing work by the way. Thank you for sharing

Thanks for praise and good info. To be honest, the rear sub frame lacked related pictures, so I added only a little detail to the shape of the kit.
Very Good Car Enhancement series. Especially that there is no BGM, 👍

It really is amazing the dedication to perfection but I can t help feeling it makes anything us mere mortals make at a lower level of ability feel very blah and inadequate.. who has this amount of time patience and dexterity .. impressive yep , disheartening yep also

Considering the actual car, my work is just a humble imitation. However, I don't think the level of the model is important. I think the model that everyone made themselves with joy and enthusiasm is special. Thank you.

@@A4Garage Well said ..thank you for your lovely reply .. you are an artist of the highest quality 💯👏
Are you sure that you use only imperial scale nuts and washers? 😉 I like your dedication to the details, there are barely no spots on the car, where you could add another gimmick, because there are no more on the real car. Amazing.

Amazing attention to detail - I’m surprised that you don’t own a real Mini as you obviously know the car inside and out. Very, very good work. I would like to point out that I think that the front suspension tie rods look too fat as they come on the front subframe. You should make your own, I’m sure they will be much better!

The precision, attention to detail and cleanliness of the construction are amazing: those made are works of art !! One question: why if the engine is a four cylinder there are only three exhaust manifolds? Congratulations again

You don't build a model, you engineer it. The only reason I think this is better than the DS is I love the colour of this. What are you using for the carpet and engine bay insulation?
@A4Garage
2 жыл бұрын
Thank you. The carpet is rough painted, and the insulation is paper with a printed pattern.(DS21) carpet-suede sheet engine bay insulation- Kamodels real leather (morris mini)
