interesting how quickly he wishes she would give him more even though he already says he feels pain-free and "good". It shows how hard-wired our brains are to repeat what makes us feel good and how dangerous these medications are without a 2nd person in control of the dose.

Thank goodness they know how addictive, morphine is and they ween you off, I once was given. Morphine and I was instantly wanting more, very addictive! I’m not a liar , but I sure wanted too on my pain factor, but they knew slowly to ween me off! Thank GOD…..that’s how good it feels.

@@elizabeth3527they honestly shouldn’t give morphine or opioids to people who have never had them unless they have a serious injury or chronic pain. Literally just give them something else or sedate them. Life would be so much better for so many people if they never had any opioids in their life. They try to take people off after they know how good it feels once the damage is already done. Really sad.

I know that. It ruins it for the others... Well, I am NOT EVER going to the street. Because of the Fentanyl problem, ⚠️ not so many OPIATES! I take it when needed for pain. But not consistently enough to develop any tolerance. Because those are the warning signs of an addiction forming.

NikkiAmelia RS I’m on 80 mg’s of oral Dilaudid a day, so luckily when in the ER (which with my serious health issues) can be somewhat frequent, I almost always get an appropriate dose or after a few smaller doses of IV Dilaudid, they finally see my tolerance and that I’m still uncomfortable, so they give me at the very least 3-4 mg’s IV and that dose is what works and they can tell. I don’t go in drug seeking and sometimes depending on why I’m in the ER, I’ll bring my own pain medication with me, while they work me up.

@@RecoilCDS I was born with it and that's not how things go in an ER in my state. Its no way to tell who is drug seeking but if u were in my city you'd be flagged for getting that much Dilaudid or even asking for it. My physicians are aware of what they do and don't get why they act that way I'm currently in the process of an lawsuit. Also every ER doc is different. That ER didn't help me but another did. I haven't needed to be back in the ER since. I've never heard of anyone being on 80mg of oral dilaudid. Oral dilaudid is not always effective and I'm proof of that. My physicians said they'd never recommend oral dilaudid. I'm on roxy 15s at home. I won't let them put me on something that high as far as oral so that's why your tolerance to Dilaudid is so high. The docs who mistreated me are getting in trouble because I'm not a drug seeker nor do I have the traits of one. I went to the CEO of that hospital about what happened. Now I just don't go to that location. I don't need more than 2mg of it by IV. He discriminated against me due to me having sickle cell which is illegal.
