Morocco Tiles Technique - Colorful Tiles Veneer with polymer clay, paints, and foils.
Hello friends!
In this video tutorial, I want to show you how to use my new unique tools for the Tiles Technique! And this time I will use metal leafs and paints on polymer clay.
The tools and materials I used in this tutorial:
- Polymer clay Premo black;
- Metal leafs: sweetybijou.com/c/materials/m...
- Acrylic paints;
- Gouache - golden and silver.
- Moiko silk screens;
- Multi-cutters "Sunset in Marrakesh": sweetybijou.com/c/exclusive-t...
- Deli paper: sweetybijou.com/p/deli-paper-...
- Polymer clay blades: sweetybijou.com/p/2-pcs-set-s...
For creating such a colorful pattern I used black clay (Premo), metal leafs, acrylic paints, and gouache. Usually, I'm using setting #3 of my pasta machine. And for the first 2 sheets of clay, I used set#1, because after I put the golden and peacock clay, I rolled the veneers on set #3.

Wow. I’m looking at cane tutorials and feeling way in over my head to make this doll house renovation for my girls. This inspires me! Especially because I have thr circuit and can cut my own stencils for the painting part! Now I just need to order that cut piece. Awesome sauce.
That tile veneer turned out so pretty. I really like your double print silkscreen idea. It adds so much dimension. You are so creative.

Your work is fabulous. I don't mean to be rude but can I ask why the cutters are so much more expensive than other clay cutters?

Lindsey, they are expensive because of the high quality of the materials and printing machine which has a high price. Also, in price included our time and knowledges, and as well a high quality and unique of the product. These cutters are the thinnest cutters on the market:) The boxes are also completely handmade and designed by ourselves. In my shop you also can find less expensive cutters which are printed in common way, with Pro PLA plastic. I hope for your understanding.

How long can I make and save a veneer? How do I save it? In plastic wrap?

I save my veneers in plastic for many years! Some of them (I recently used) I made 5-6 years ago! I would recommend you my plastic bags which is easy to use and really great quality!
