It's so amazing to see you growth from when you were paralyzed by fear when you found out you were pregnant to a year later and being such an amazing mother. This just shows how impactful just 1 year can be in our lives.

Wow when you spoke about “suffering hard enough” that really spoke to me. I totally feel that too. I really dislike the whole moms need to be selfless and have to get little to no sleep and not take care of themselves physically or mentally in order to be a good mom thing. I hate how that’s kind of trendy (for lack of a better word) now. Idk. I truly believe I’m a great mom (and you are too). I’m not selfish for making time to take care of myself physically and mentally. Honestly, it makes me a WAY better mom, wife, friend, and person. Thankfully, I have an amazing husband that understands that and helps pick up the slack in order for me to be the best me 🥰

I love what you said at the end of your video about "if you aren't suffering as a parent, you're not a good parent" I feel like the journey is so beautiful. especially for those who have been waiting and wishing for it! and somehow society and our community wants to see us hate it and be miserable about it, or they want us to struggle just to show we are being "good" parents. Loving the mundane days is beautiful. Loving the new parenthood life and having your own fun, casual routine is beautiful.

Over 10 years ago I discovered you when I was obsessed with thrifting as a teenager (still love thrifting), and I came across your ClothesEncounters channel. Fast forward today, here I am as a first time mom watching your mommy videos. Over the years I have appreciated your transparency with life, career & mental health and even more now with motherhood. In this video you said something in between the lines; as a parent if you’re not suffering enough than you feel you aren’t doing enough. While we know that is not true, sometimes in the moment we believe it because parenthood is hard sometimes, and it’s important that we remember to be kind to ourselves. So I totally understand what you mean by that. Thank you Jenn for sharing a snippet of your morning routine. Here is to more transparency and gentle moments with our little ones and family. Xx

It’s really neat to see your journey getting easier with your five month old just as mine is with my five month old. I love that we had our sons around the same time! Logan has also stated baby food so I can’t wait to see how Lennon reacts to that as well!
