I wonder how many people realise that a “Toolmaker” is the industrial equivalent of a neurosurgeon in the medical field… Their socioeconomic status within industry is such that they are better paid and better regarded than most of those who actually run the factories and workshops in which the traditional working class spend their days.. So to exploit the general public’s ignorance of what a toolmaker actually is, in order to imply that he knows how those on the lower rungs of the ladder, live and feel, is a cynical manipulative deception.. And he should be challenged on it…
