I have a down4sound jp 43 not sure if your familiar with them Koren built amp I was running it at 1/2 ohm caps in the input side or power side I think that'd what it is replacing all comes on no protection but know sound on output

Question gor you. Hot few broken amps. Not sure whats wrong imagine the amp was smoked or hooked up wrong. Whats the basics i should lookfor?

Check for shorts between the power rails. You must measure in the corect polarity, or it may read a protection diode or other component. Learn about testing transistors and then check the transistors. A visual check/remove blown transistors may sovle shorts. Check for shorts over and over after doing something. Learn about gate resistors and drivers, check they are good and signal is good. (All varys on amplifier class for specifics or powersupply or amp faults) check tl494 or other. Further faults? Fault find visually, check for heat, check for shorts ect.
