It was the personal favorite movie of Director YASH RAJ CHOPRA. It is one of the most beautiful Indian movies and one of the best works of THE FIRST FEMALE SUPERSTAR OF INDIA, SRIDEVI JI!! You should watch this movie....... This song is traditional folk of Rajasthan which is sung by women for their husbands who are not with them at that moment due to their duties or any other reason. Actually, Anil Kapoor has come from London and Sridevi has taken him on a tour to Rajasthan..... The other lady in the song is Ila Arun. She is playing a traveling dancer and singer. So she sings this famous folk and Sridevi translates it in Hindi for Anil Kapoor!! A very unique and beautiful concept. Here is another song from the movie..... Called 'KABHI MAIN KAHOON'..... Which has Sridevi and Anil Kapoor in it. It's a very dramatic and melodious song!! You will see a contrast in Anil Kapoor's look which is according to the requirement of the movie...... Lamhe was very bold movie. Sridevi played mother and daughter role in the movie. Anil loved Sridevi( mother)...but sri loved someone else. After many years Sridevi's daughter loved Anil kapoor. Oh hun. What megha re megha from the same film (lamhe). You will understand that the flashbacks in this song you are confused about.

That is Anil Kapoor! He looks different because he doesn’t have a moustache here (one of the only movies where he shaved it off). Also the other singer is Ila Arun who also sang choli ke peeche. But she herself is the one performing in this video while Neena Gupta is the one dancing with madhuri in choli ke peeche. This movie is a classic - you should watch it!

Singer Ila Arun shot to fame with her award-winning duet with Alka Yagnik in 1993 - Choli Ke Peeche picturized on Madhuri Dixit. Saroj Khan choreographed both songs. Lamhe fetched Sridevi her 2nd best actress filmfare award for portraying both mother-daughter on screen. lamhe defines magic on screen... Best of yash chopra films... Perfect story of love emotions seperation and music to die for... This particular song is so Indian and is technically not dance member but Sridevi made her her song simply by her expressions.. Her face is mesmerising like in her all songs.. lataji and Ila Arun golden voices make it a perfect folk based Indian song... U can listen or watch it any number of times and Shridevi makes it look perfect everytime u watch it... She was purely timeless beauty

There is one more song from the same movie "Meri Bindiya,... teri nindiya... naa udade toh kehna" ... (If my forehead sticker... doesn't disturb your sleep... let me know.. (sort of challenging in a sweet way).. Sridevi shows in this song, a myriad of expressions that goes in the way of getting ready for one's sweetheart. Such a lovely song. This movie doesn't have dances in its songs but the characters soul in them... Am sure you would love this song. Unfortunately, I don't have subs. But when you have Sridevi, you don't need subs especially when the song focuses on her story telling eyes.

Shridevi was not a trained dancer but her passion made her perfect in dancing she worked in film industry since she was 4 but personally my opinion is she must have lost her childhood ness facing camera and act accordingly how director wants it was like child labour working for long hours on sets while her age children must be playing with dolls or with friends on grounds
