I was watching 101 Damatians when Mori hit that whistle note, and believe me, 102 Dalmatians leaped out of my tv! That note after the bridge when she hit the chorus, she didn't just hit the note, she launch it like a cruise missile. Incredible!

Mori's fans jokingly refer to this song as a "buwis-buhay na kanta" (a song where you risk your life). Because if you attempt to sing it the way Morissette does it, with the long whistle notes and that one-breath-14-seconds-long phrase, you could end up in the hospital, literally! 😁

I was watching a compilation of reactions to this video and that is why I came to see your total reaction because you appeared to be as stunned as I was when I first heard this. I was laying in bed listening to KZread videos and I was flat on my back almost asleep and thought her voice was just incredible the the breathy you just can feel her soul but then she hit those whistle notes and I literally came straight up in bed. There are absolutely no words to describe this song for me. Absolutely stunning

There are a few minor issues with the arrangement, but her whistle in that is truly superhuman. It almost needs a comic aside where someone is shown looking at a watch to see when it ends. Although let's be factual here. The song is by the group Foreigner. And it was a huge hit for them. Mariah's version is just a cover.

First of all, you pronounced it right! Yes, that is her signature own song but was written by Kiko Salazar. Watch her cover of "Fly like a bird" which is another amazing one. The dude on the keyboard wrote this song for her. I fell in love with Morissette when I heard this song too.
