You’re exactly correct morisette is one special vocalist I am always empress by her breath management she blows my mind how long she can hold notes and run up and down all in on breath I always watch for her breathing technique it’s crazy I think that’s what makes her so good she can hold notes like no other she said in one of her interviews that she never had any professional vocal coaches she was self taught with help from her parents but she did have a breathing coach that was it I think she shows it in every song she sing her breathing is just a signature of morisettes legacy she is a different bread of vocalist unstoppable you gotta love this humble angel

You should try reacting to Sohyang O Holy Night from I Am A Singer 2. If you react to her other performances of the same song in church, you will see her kneeling down on the last section ... "Fall, on your knees". I get chills and goosebumps. Morissette sings extremely well, congratulations. For me, no chills nor goosebumps.

I think where Sohyang shines is when she is on a big stage with an orchestra. She is capable of being a presence on a large stage and certainly brings a lot of energy to the performance and is obviously very technical. Morissette on the other hand seems more versatile in a variety of settings. She can sing on a large stage, accompanied by a small band, or even acapella. I would trust Morissette to hold up well if you put her along superstars such as Beyonce, Ariana, or any of the big divas of the past such as Whitney or Mariah.
