I flipped out when I heard Mori sang this song because I never heard her sing country before. She nailed it. Of course it’s not pure country rather country mixed with r&b and pop but still spectacular. Would love to hear her sing some more country for sure. She is a true versatile singer. Try Morissette’s performance of Halo in this same setting. It’s pretty awesome. Great reaction!

Morissette became a Christian 3 years ago so this song is real to her and you could hear that reality. Carrie is a good singer but like you said Morissette tone hugs your heart and is soothing. A reactor said that God plays favorites, regarding Morissette's voice and that that is not fair! Well, God chose to make us according to His choice. Michael Jordan, Messi or Phelpsthe swimmer did nothing for their talent, it was a gift and Morissette knows this. She is humble, thankful and treats others with kindness. I support this suggestion of checking out the Stages Session concert at Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf in December 2015. Relatively intimate setting and varied set list, but all the songs were top notch.

Yes Sien, I do like me some Karen Carpenter, too. She would be up there, certainly. Jennifer Hudson and Alicia Keys are in the discussion. Nicole I didn't really consider. Generally I lump singers into 2 different groups. There are the S-Tier artists, which are simply exceptional and clearly above everyone else. And then there are the A-Tier artists, which include unique voices like Sarah Mclachlan, Sade, Shania, Lea, Sia, Karen Carpenter, Nancy Wilson, Madonna, etc. Many, many good voices with unique sound/tone but I'd say only a handful that are "gamebreaking" voices, and Morissette has the ability to shatter S-Tier as she has many of the attributes of all the top singers ever recorded.
