Il 27 giugno 2024 Rifugio Digitale ha inaugurato la mostra "Dark Whispers" della fotografa australiana Morganna Magee, che rappresenta la quinta tappa del ciclo espositivo dedicato alla fotografia contemporanea Homecoming, ideato da Irene Alison e curato da Irene Alison e Paolo Cagnacci. L’evento è organizzato in collaborazione con Forma Edizioni e l’Associazione Infoto Firenze e grazie al supporto di Gruppo AF e Banca Ifigest.
“Per me la natura è tutto ciò che conta. Il resto del mondo è una finzione creata dagli esseri umani per tenersi
occupati nella quale non mi sono mai sentita a mio agio. Sono molto più felice di sognare ad occhi aperti
sotto un albero che in qualsiasi altro posto”. È nella natura, nel silenzio animato da mille fruscii del bush
australiano alle prime luci dell’alba, che Morganna Magee trova la sua ispirazione. Originaria di Melbourne
l’artista australiana, alla prima personale in Italia, porta al Rifugio Digitale un percorso espositivo - dal titolo
Dark Whispers, curato da Irene Alison e Paolo Cagnacci - che mette insieme i tasselli dei suoi progetti più
recenti insieme a nuovi materiali prodotti in esclusiva per l’esposizione, in un itinerario che ci conduce dentro
al cuore nero della foresta, alla ricerca di uno spirito ancestrale e indomabile. (Irene Alison)

On June 27, 2024 Rifugio Digitale inaugurated the exhibition "Dark Whispers" of the Australian photographer Morganna Magee, which represents the fifth stage of the exhibition cycle dedicated to contemporary
photography Homecoming, conceived by Irene Alison and curated by Irene Alison and Paolo Cagnacci.
The event is organized in collaboration with Forma Edizioni and the Associazione Infoto and thanks

"Nature is all that matters to me. The rest of the world is a fiction created by human beings for their own
amusement, in which I have never felt at peace. I’m much happier day-dreaming under a tree than in any
other place”. It is in nature, in the silence broken only by the myriad rustling whispers of the Australian
bush in the dawn’s early light, that Morganna Magee finds her inspiration. Originally from Melbourne the
Australian artist, for her first personal exhibition in Italy, brings to Rifugio Digiatale a show - entitled Dark
Whispers, curated by Irene Alison and Paolo Cagnacci - including examples of material from her most
recent projects as well as new material produced exclusively for the exhibition, in an itinerary that takes
the viewer into the dark heart of the forest, in search of an ancestral, indomitable spirit. (Irene Alison)
