Hear me out... Little Rain is when he's in love with this girl and paints a picture of their relationship. Love You More than my hometown is him realizing that she is moving away and he has to choose his hometown over her and it's kind of like him speaking to her. Then comes Whiskey Glasses right after the breakup. Next is Chasin You while he realizes he can never get over her and he made a mistake. Lastly it concludes with 7 Summers as a sad conclusion after its been too long and she has moved on (if you've watched the short film). .... maybe he'll come out with another song that is them getting back together???

For those who wish to sing along - We used to chase that Chattanooga fray Couple a kids in a Chevrolet Catch a little air when we cross the tracks Sipping on something from a paper sack You hang your shirt on that maple lamp Slipping through the moon to the river bend Wasn't very long I was jumping in, jumping in I guess I'm still doing now, what I was doing then Chasing you, like a shot of whiskey Burning going down, burning going down Chasing you, like those goodbye taillights Heading west to anywhere out of this no where town Chasing that freedom, chasing that feeling that got gone too soon Chasing that you and me, I only see in my rear view Hell, I'm laying every night holding someone new Still chasing you, still chasing you You always used to talk about L.A I heard you got as far as Santa Fe Oh wait, you know I tried to track you down I only got as far as guitar town Singing about a girl I used to know, used to know better Haven't given' up, I'm just on your radio Chasing you, like a shot of whiskey Burning going down, burning going down Chasing you, like those goodbye taillights Heading west to anywhere out of this no where town Chasing that freedom, chasing that feeling that got gone too soon Chasing that you and me, I only see in my rear view Hell, I'm laying every night holding someone new Still chasing you, still chasing you Chasing you, like a shot of whiskey Burning going down, burning going down Chasing you, like those goodbye taillights Heading west to anywhere out of this no where town Chasing that freedom, chasing that feeling that got gone too soon Chasing that you and me, I only see in my rear view Hell, I'm laying every night holding someone new Still chasing you, still chasing you Still chasing you, still chasing you

I'm a Cityguy. I met a gorgeous country girl in my trades-school. Our chemistry was so strong. We hit things off from day 1. Knowing she's a traditional girl. I took things very slow and thought of eventually asking her out. But it was her last term, and she moved back to her unknown hometown. Been driving around the province, hoping I find her someday. Yes, this song is absolutely my story!

At least if the said significant other is still alive here on earth there's still hope..when the person passes that's a tougher pill to swallow..really burns..I have yet to figure it all out yet but will probably remain a solo artist I guess..don't ever want to go through that again but at least I had it once upon a time,genuine..even if for a short time..Forever in my heart and memory museum and still revisit that time period from time to time and try to count my blessings..feels like a lifetime ago but at the same time just yesterday..kinda strange feeling.

This is one of his very best songs🔥💯
Im a metal head and this song kicks ass 🤘
This song speaks to my entire soul UPDATE: As much as I still love this song, I'm so grateful I don't personally relate anymore. When I posted this I was involved with a very toxic ex and he made me feel so small. I finally stopped chasing him. Now not one piece of me misses that man and I found someone who loves and adores me the way I always wanted. I'll never chase anyone like that again ❤️

Here’s my little head canon. I like to think “more than my hometown” is the prequel to this song and 7 summers is the sad sequel. A journey where a man pretends to himself that he’s made peace with his love leaving him and their hometown. Then years down the line he regretted it and went to search for her. Only to come full circle and come to make peace with it for real this time 7 summer later.

There are people that come in our life and leave a lasting impression. That echoes in our memory and won’t go away. I identify with this song. Mine was Anna. Stepped out of my dreams into my life. It ended due to circumstances that had nothing to do with us. Still think about it. 10 years ago.

When I first encountered this song back in 2021, I was navigating through a particularly challenging period in a long-standing relationship with a girl whom I found myself tightly holding onto. Deep down, I recognized that it was time to let go, yet the thought of releasing five years of shared history felt daunting. I vividly recall thinking, "I can't fathom a life without you." It's remarkable how this song evoked memories of her, stirring up feelings of longing and desire at the time. Initially, I interpreted the song through a lens of endearment and love, attributing it to our shared experiences. However, three years have since passed, and my life has undergone a remarkable transformation for the better. I am now vastly healthier, successfully managing two businesses with plans to launch two more. Reflecting on her now, I can't help but feel a sense of pity that she couldn't recognize the value of what we had. Equally, I pity my former self for not realizing that letting go of her would usher in a new chapter filled with everything I had prayed for. Today, I stand before the mirror as a man I am proud of, not solely due to my achievements, but because I see someone who is actively shaping his life and continuously evolving. When I listen to the song now, I finally grasp the essence of what Mr. Wallen is conveying: a toast to those who failed to see my growth, I loved you, but the pastures are undeniably greener here.
Love this song❤and him
