There are stories and unverifiable legends about Morgan's Raiders here in Jackson County, Indiana.

Great Video! His raid went through my county (Guernsey) and fought a skirmish in old Washington, where three of his men died and are buried here. Hope to see a part 2 soon! Subscribed to your channel!

My ancestors rode in these raids as members of the Orphan Brigade. My direct ancestor was captured in Ohio and sent to Rock Island Prison.

Mark, thanks for sharing! Are there any stories that got passed down to you regarding those men?

Greetings from Texas, did your ancestor survive that damn yankee prison to make it home?

Great Video. Dennison was governor of Ohio. And it still isn't clear to what side that Dennison was on. And there was a Rail Road in Southern Indiana that was owned by Burnside. That ran to Bloomington, Indiana. That had a house of ill repute. A story is told in Bloomington that Burnside and Hooker and Lew Wallace spent more time at this house of ilrepute, than they did in the war. The house of ilrepute, in Bloomington was on the West side of town and the Burnside Train depot was across the street, in front of the house of ilrepute. The house of ilreput is said to have kept Monroe county in taxation, during the war. 27:14

Thanks Savanah - had not heard any of this before. If Hooker was involved I would not be surprised, but hadn't heard that about Burnside or Wallace....

Hi Derek - not yet I'm afraid. I do have a lot more footage shot, but its been a tough year, and finding time has been hard. However I do plan to post more videos about Morgans Raid as soon as I can - right now there are a few more ahead of it that I have to do. Thanks for asking!
