Well, I understand what you’re saying but with a bit more zoom, even 12 MP is more than adequate. The Sony A7sIII is only a 12 MP camera and it takes outstanding video.

Anywhere right now. Most likely south or southwest facing slopes but I haven’t found any in the woods yet. Your own yard might be your best bet right now. You can find the smaller grey ones in yards near elm trees. I don’t know if it’s the grass that makes them come up earliest or what it is. It’s not a given. They are always hit or miss year to year. Most I’ve ever found in one spring is about 40.
