If you are looking for a really good safety school, look no further. MSU has an acceptance of 89% so basically all you have to do is apply and have your high school diploma and your in. My sister has a 2.2 gpa and took the act because it was just required to take one no matter what score you get. I think she got the bare minimum on the act scoring an 11 and still got into Morehead and they gave her a few university grants and scholarships for need based entrance. Not a bad school but everyone that applies pretty much gets in.

Dorm rooms are more like apartments now. Back in the day, it was just a room with 4 beds (sometimes two if you were upperclassman and had extra money) with a couple of closets and couple of small dressers and with the showers & bathroom down the hall. Not much room to study in the room; usually went to a common area or library or some such. Back then there were no microwave ovens and no computers so you didn't have to worry about that, but God help you if you have a typewriter and didn't want others screwing around with it.
