Thank you! I drive my Performance Model 3 for Lyft and Uber in my spare time (for fun, extra money and to do my part to accelerate clean transportation). After 25k miles in less than a year, I had my first negative experience. I don't drive late night bar closings or it would have come sooner I'm sure. Apparently someone had an improperly sealed growler of beer that spilled a huge volume. I didn't notice it right away, but the next day my entire car smelled like a brewery. The tub was completely saturated and I thought I was going to have to replace the whole trunk liner. Your video gave me the confidence to open the tub, remove and wash the pad. It was a many step process, but in a few hours I was able to make my car beer scent free again! Saved me hundreds and put my car in usable shape so much faster! There is a business opportunity here. Apparently there is a water proof liner that seals the lower few inches of the tub. I would love to buy an insert that slides into that tub and seals it to the top. Has anyone seen that product for sale yet? The smaller tub liner wouldn't have contained this big a spill especially with the acceleration that happens in these fabulous cars.

Thanks much for this!! Some water jugs leaked in my sub-trunk, everything was damp, taking too long to dry out from just airing the trunk, so was able to easily pull up (not out) the liner and blow hot air inside the metal space below and wipe things down, seems all good. Very helpful! Getting a sub-trunk well cargo mat to protect for next time, in case it is Gatorade or something worse than water..

Thanks for this video! It is amazing how easy it is to quickly disassemble bits and pieces of this car... I used it to pull off the panels and so on when I installed the HANSSHOW TRUNK KIT. It might be a bad idea to use the +12V under the backseat. HANSSHOW support told me that this +12V is sometimes active and sometimes not. Therefore it would be a bad idea to use it for a cooling box and so on (and of course also for the HANSSHOW trunk kit. There is a +12V far up to the right under the front passenger sidepanel (at least in left hand steeringwheel cars).

@Tech Forum: Hi Matt, thanks for this. I was wondering, isn't all the carpeting really stifling the bass? That carpeting is certainly not acoustically transparent...not really liking it. I know a lot of people love the sound quality of Model 3...I find it lacking in bass quite a bit. It has bass, but that bass seems very mid bassy and artificial compared to real subs that go low, that too effortlessly.

The car seems very well put together. I, mean, there were some issues with early production models, since Telsa was rushing to ramp up production. But, many Model 3 owners are now saying they really like their car. And many who also own a Model S or X, have pointed out that they think the Model 3 is a better car for the money. And, not to mention a teardown of the Model 3 revealed the car has military-grade tech. At first I didn't like the fact that the screen of the Model 3 projects out of the dash, as well as the fact that the car doesn't feature smart air suspension. But, now, I would buy this car in a heartbeat, if I had the money.

@@TechForumTesla Matt, I think you mentioned in another video that you've lowered the suspension of your Model 3. Do you find that it improved the ride quality? Thanks for this gr8 vid. I subscribed.

@@nosoupforyou425 Those teardowns may have been conducted on earlier models. Now, I'm not condoning the fact that there were some things that weren't completed or neglected at any point during the production phase of the Model 3. That shouldn't be the case at all. But, now, more attention to detail is been placed upon newer cars out of the assembly line. And that's good!
