the first compartment panel: flip so the tabs are to the short side. That way it will fitt the larger panel to the right? that way the mini will fit as well?

This whole tote set up was a hot mess haha! I definitely didn't set it up right! Yes the mini would!
I mean yea must be nice they send you stuff. However I wouldn’t use happy planner even if they sent it to me

Use what you want ♥️
You have the first panel the wrong way around. It needs to be re inserted so that there is half an inch less space on the wide side and half an inch more on the narrow side. This is why things are not fitting well.
