I enjoyed the old school accent from the narration. People should start talking like this again.

They talked like this because of early microphone technologies. Clear and steady speaking (steady sound saves) was the optimal for these microphones.

Eduardo Banegas todays noise cancelling mics need clear and steady speaking too. Few people know this, others makes video conferences difficult to follow.

I'm guessing this film was made in the 40's 50's??? They had some prety impressive machenery back then, when technology was a lot more manual and hands on and not a computer in sight ! A great age of inventions involving moving cogs and machenery. Fascinating video.

One of the key vehicles shown was a 1939 Chevrolet, so I'm guessing that it was produced near to that time. It also has a 1930s feel to it, not 1950s.

If your question is focusing on how that high a temperature/pressure and it doesn't ignite, that's because there's no oxygen in the pipes. Hydrocarbons need oxygen to burn.
