I love that line "We’ll always have the obvious. It reminds us who and where we are, it lives like a heart shape, like a jar that we hand to others and ask, “Can you open this for me?” We always get the same answer: “Not without breaking it.” More often than sometimes, I say go for it." *impactful

I could listen to him for hours... It's like reaches into me and unravels to tangled mess of hurt and pain, laying it out on the table like a map and plotting a course to happier times

That's the most poetic hat I've ever seen.

I love how he explains a sexual act but in a way that isn't distasteful but beautiful like it should be.

Remember in school when they said poets can't earn a living anymore?

Shane, I first heard your poetry today. I wish I could've heard it as a kid and a teenager. Even now, your stories bring back my own painful memories but then they lift up my spirit and remind me that I did survive and there is still so much more to be done. Thank you for all that you've done and thank you for not giving up. Thank you for sharing your stories with all of us, whether we lived it or not. Thank you for being awesome, and reminding us that it's ok for us to do that too. Keep up the good work, man. I want to hear it all.

His voice and the way he paces things is perfect, and his hand gestures. So cool.

I used to watch this all the time when I was younger and never really understood it, but I enjoyed hearing you speak. I watch it now and realize how absolutely beautiful your words are.

I come back to this poem time and time again. This really stuck with me through my teenage hood. Made me want to write. Thank you for this

I experience intense mental pain due to high religiousity and stupidity in the country I live in ( Turkey ) Thanks to Shane Koyczan, I am able to cope with my pain. His voice relaxes my soul and mind and helps me breathe.

God I want to see him live so badly. It'd be an honour, honestly.
