Black and brown bears are quite common all over the US. Mostly black. Grizzlies live in specific areas, like Polar bears. People hunt black bear mostly for food and I've heard it's good. So is squirrel, if you didn't know. Also Rabbit, pheasant, quail, turkey, deer, elk, and moose (as far as hunting meat goes). I've heard mixed comments about possum, raccoon, rattlesnake, and alligator, but I've got no experience with them. I've hunted and/or eaten hunted of the first list of animals and turkey is my least favorite, but the rest are better than store meat.

I'm so glad Danny is secured in the basement. No more Callum forgetting he's supposed to write about murder not 'business'

Preschool teacher here. I always odd socks and my 4 year olds always get so upset when they see my socks don't match. "I've got another pair just like it at home" is my favourite reply.

It's like saying allegedly is just a reflex for Simon at this point. Imagine him at a bar with friends saying something and then just following it up with "allegedly"

Odd socks helped get a man employed! I interviewed a guy, it went well, and I happened to notice he was wearing one brown sock and one blue sock. I sent him for the drug test, and somehow he got their without the form that identified him as the person we wanted tested. The clinic called me, and I told them to ask him to raise his pants legs - if one sock was blue and the other brown, it was him. He was embarrassed, but he got the job lol.

Fun fact: packs of 3 and 5 individual socks that all didn't match have been a thing before. My family started gifting me these to mock the fact that I gave up on matching socks when I was still in elementary school and refused to move on from this phase. I ended up loving those weird packs of socks, and they joined my drawer of socks (all loose) right away. I still wear mismatched socks every day, and it's been about 2 decades. Also, for people who want someone to stop wearing mismatched socks, you'll probably have better luck if you DON'T freak out and chastise that person for their socks. Stubbornness will win every time.

I've done this for the past 15 years. It is not totally pointless, but this introduces different issues. They do start to grey after close to a year, but some kind of match up with others. Sock manufacturers also modify and discontinue models periodically. It's still less problematic to keep one specific type for daily use overall, if you are willing to invest in a half decade worth of socks upfront. If you plan just a bit and slowly introduce your stash over time as needed, those could last a whole decade.

Grizzly bears aren't endangered, and hunting them is reasonably common here in Alaska. That said, the meat isn't great, as it often tastes a bit of the rotten salmon they like to eat. Now a black bear that's been eating blueberries for weeks, that's tasty.

A black bear is also much easier to kill than a grizzly, you can kill one with a much smaller round, though I would still prefer to eat a truly herbivorous animal. They taste *so* much better.

I'd never thought of bears as edible before. But you'd want to make sure you hit the first time though, I imagine annoying a bear is a mistake you only make once.

About Throcks: I've never had a sock go missing in the wash, not once. How do I accomplish this miracle? I pair my socks going into the wash. Instead of just chucking everything in there, I go through and only put in pairs of socks. Pairs of socks always come out. I must conclude, as Danny has, that people just wash one sock in the load, and don't bother actually looking for the second sock before just assuming it's gone and throwing one away. Danny has this figured out, he must do all of Simon's laundry down there in the basement.

There's also these mesh bags with a zipper you can put your socks inside. That way they 100% won't be sucked in by the machine. I decided to go with identical socks though. All my socks are the same plain black design in three different lengths for the different seasons, so no need for pairing them (what a colossal waste of time, lmao) and I wouldn't even notice if one went missing in the wash.

When Simon says "ill keep this brief", what he is really saying, is "however f'n long i want".

Socks have a life cycle similar to insects. The egg stage is as a paperclip. The immature stage is a wire coat hanger. Then after metamorphosis the adult version is a sock. I made the mistake of watching one of Simon’s channels while extremely drowsy one day. I fell asleep, and now it’s hard to fall asleep without listening to a video of his.

I'm 31 and I've never realized it until I thought about it but I just realized that I have never used or even stood inside of a pay phone a single time in my life.

Many years ago my grandmother had a bird feeder with cage around it. Attached to the cage was two wire leads that connected to a 12v battery. It was effective at keeping the squirrels away for a short time lol.

GTA is one of the best designed games and was cutting edge when it came out. The ability to do almost anything in that world and large number of unique stories, missions etc you could engage in made it a design icon

So in my younger years I used to sell g & e for SSE, knocking door to door, I will never forget this... the day I quit my job, I was knocking council housing just on the outskirts of London, I knocked one house and looked behind me, 1 squirrel... I knocked the next house 2 squirrels, you get the pattern, eventually I look behind me and there are literally 20+ squirrels with this look of hunger on there face, like one squirrel staring at you is cute, 20 odd well that becomes scary like the twins in the shining, I called my manager as I was being chased and he asked me what drugs I was on, I ran to his Alpha and realized I didn't know where his door handles are "this was 2005 so hidden handles were a new thing", I calm down to a panic and he opens the door, the squirrels are in hot pursuit, I jump into his car and he hits the gas, in the same breath I quit :/ F*ing squirrels

In college someone once told me my socks didn't match. I shrugged and he said, maybe you didn't hear me, your socks don't match. So for a few years after that I sorted my socks by thickness rather than color. But I stopped after I got tired of people being surprised when they matched by chance, showing they didn't understand randomness.

i don;t know how you missed the "hole in one" joke. As a getting hole in your club and causing it to leak

I bought 8 packs of the same gray socks and threw all the previous ones away. Now it matters not what they get washed with, and no matching. They all get tossed into the sock drawer and anything I grab from that drawer is a matched set. Best wardrobe decision ever.

Knowing the story and then watching you discover it is my favorite business blaze
