Haven’t played Aether, but by the way you described it, it sounds similar to a mascot feature PSASBR had.

With the Pet idea, I think that’s what Tweety is going to be ngl, he’s probably the only main looney tunes character with the least amount of potential as a fighter but being an AI pet is perfect.

The narrator is heavily implied to just be the Friday the 13th narrator (from the trailers), so I don’t think he’s supposed to be anyone, it’s just a visual image to present an otherwise unseen person

Steven's appearance reflecting the wrong version of the show actually has a precedent within WB. Ben 10 was originally supposed to be his OG form when FusionFall launched their prequel manga "Worlds Collide," but Alien Force/Ultimate Alien came out by the time the game released and it was better marketing (and storytelling) to age the Ben 10 characters up. Steven's Future form is probably not as iconic on a wider scale, so I can see them going with the little kid version for branding purposes.

I can see Neptr from Adventure Time being a "pet" He was a assist in the Beta (Alongside Banana Guard and Mr. Meeseeks), both Meeseeks and BG came back, except for him. And it would make sense because he was just a little guy following you around in the Beta, which is basically what pets seem to be

I don't think anyone should be mad about it. Their whole shtick is fighting, and there's so many popular and semi-popular characters, a lot with unique powers, no one should be surprised that they'll probably make up a third of the roster.

@@tedgonzalez985If this game didn’t have so many potential roster candidates due to Warner Bros. owning so many IPs, I would probably be complaining a lot more. That said, I doubt they won’t make any future DC characters less fun to play than the DC characters we have right now.

With Tweety and the cat (forgot) the legendary skins are starting to get more crazy and mostly make their move sets use different items so maybe they will be a T and J skin.

They fixed Xbox servers just this last patch so it’s good they did that, but it might’ve been too late. They need to release characters more frequently also

It is worth mentioning if I remember my RWBY lore correctly the witch could be referencing ruby as her mother had been called the scarlet witch at some point (my knowledge of that lore is rusty and even then I only watched till season 3, so if anyone wants to fact check me go ahead)

Are you sure "Starchild" is Steven Universe and not Jake the Dog? "Starchild" was something he was called in the show a few times. And I'm pretty sure "The Narrator" is supposed to be a visual representation of the guy who does the voiceovers in the Friday the 13th trailers, since he talks exactly like him. The "But this year Friday the 13th falls on... RABBIT SEASON" was a direct reference to "Taking a weekend getaway is a great way to relax and enjoy nature, unless that weekend falls on... FRIDAY THE 13TH" from the Friday the 13th Part 3 (in 3D) trailer.

Just so you know, Papa, they already are selling the Friday the 13th variants to us. They come in bundles that you can buy with gleamium in the store, and You can get the Black Adam one for free in the highest reward tier of the Team Batman vs. Team Joker event.

The star child should be Jake, since it's a whole episode named like that in Adventure Time and it's about Jake (also his star child skin)

Personally I would much rather have Movie Steven as a character costume instead just saying ok.

If the leak about when shark week is and when the season is ending is true, then I’m guessing Aquaman and Agent Smith are probably the only other characters in season 1, since it would be hard to space out characters every two weeks if Aquaman’s releasing alongside the shark week event. Otherwise, I’d be expecting a new fighter to be revealed sometime this week. Also, I highly doubt this was intentional, but the narrator looks a lot like the guys in the background of the portal stage in Mortal Kombat 2. I really don’t think this means anything, but I figured it was worth mentioning.

Daffy has been a personal favorite of mine in the looney tunes cast, so I'm hyped for him!

That stage coming out, the Mesas/Runner one, is coordinated with road runner, so we could possibly get WileECoyote or the Road Runner as characters

If Emmet WildStyle and Gandalf are added, that would be cool. We would have the Lego Dimensions Trio back together.

I can already tell this is gonna be so epic.

I'm definitely thinking the "red planet" comment mixed with the Watchmen stuff might indicate a Mars stage with Dr. Manhattan's crystal clock? Maybe? There was also a line referencing Saturn in Rick's voice lines. Ideally it's a reference to Beetlejuice's Saturn, indicating a sandworm stage, but *in theory* Martian Manhunter would have a really solid variant in Jemm, a Saturn-based hero who was originally supposed to be a cousin of his.

If characters have the same sort of fighting styles I'd like for those to just be variants. Shazam/Black Adam, Superman/Supergirl, Black Adam/Shazam and so on.

If we’re getting samurai Jack we should get mad Jack as a skin

The Narrator in the Jason Rift seems like he was meant to be the Crypt Keeper from Tales from the Crypt, which did run on HBO, although it’s not something owned by Warner Bros. I wonder if he was originally meant to be the Crypt Keeper and he go changed to a generic Narrator somewhere in the process? The way the Narrator is written in the Rift feels like the Crypt Keeper is was they were going for, and purple robes is what the character is seen wearing in Tales from the Crypt Keeper related stuff if you just look on Google for that cartoon or the character.

​@@PlayStonkers The thing is Tales from the Crypt ran on WB owned HBO in ‘89 and the ‘90s, so it’s not totally out of the question that at some point it was meant to actually be the Crypt Keeper, and things just fell through... kind of like how they seemed to with Gandalf. Thinking of the Tales from the Crypt and the Crypt Keeper reminded that WB does own Mad and Alfred E. Neuman. They should put him in at some point.

They want to hold out and not throw in all their stars at once, they also want to stick to the strategy of releasing characters in sync with movie releases and other major events for maximum hype and exposure. I'd be cool with Fred, Daphne and Scrappy as long as Scooby gets in first (let's be real though, they ain't putting Scrappy in....)

It's for people like me who don't play the game and just wanted to see how it's developing.

Pets will probably be for rifts to help us on harder difficulties. I wish they’d focus on characters & maps though, not pets/rifts. Wish they’d release new characters and maps. Never thought the relaunch would have no new content for weeks. They’re losing momentum & it’s sad. I want MVS to do well 👍🏻

Sadly the game has now lost tons of players due to no new characters/maps & it is a bummer. I totally thought they’d keep players around longer. I’m still playing daily though because I love MVS

The Harley mask is in the game now

I really hope we get Rorschach as a playable character, so that way we can get a Question (from DC) skin for him. that would be a good way to have similar characters in the game. and as a Question fan, it would be awesome to have him in the game.

The joker Jason mask skin is a special bundle in the shop and the black Adam Jason mask skin is a reward for the team Batman vs team joker event

Pets is another way to get more characters in the game!

He mentioned in one of his older videos, that its believed that some of the characters were used while pitching this game to different companies and might not actually be in development any more. Also there was a lot of characters that were just mentioned by PFG staff and not necessarily being worked on. This is why he is just focusing on characters that seem to actually be hinted at, have new data mine info, or new leaks.

And then they were labeled unused in the same way Gandalf was. Implying that there was complications. But in the same way that it could still happen in the future. Legolas feels much more likely now that gandalf is back on the table. Those two were previously datamined. I'm not saying everyone should be put back on the list (Eleven comes to mind as someone from the testing phase) but those 2 specifically feel like they were left off arbitrarily.

Here's hoping the game becomes playable by the time all this stuff comes into fruition.

Not sure if anyone else has mentioned this but Jon Tobias hasn’t worked on Mortal Kombat in like 25 years since MK 4 or Special Forces so him being there probably doesn’t mean anything though I would love to be wrong but I’d look out for pictures with Ed Boone in them he still works on the games though Tobias did come back to work on the MK vs DC comic book in 2008

The thing about Ruby being in Multiversus is I'm unsure if they are allowed to place her in the game since Warner Bros dissolved the people behind that character, Rooster Teeth. I don't know the whole situation behind it since I wasn't into that franchise, but maybe there were definitely plans to put her in the game.
