More machinery to be deployed to George
More heavy duty machinery is making its way to George, Western Cape,
to help with the rescue of people trapped under the collapsed
building's rubble. Families are hoping to see their loved ones coming
out of the rubble after four days of being trapped.

By God's grace there are still victims that are alive. And they will be saved
Guy said meetings are being held instead of looking for survivors. Community also needs to understand the meetings are necessary for safety and for action plans, people cannot just go on site and start doing their own thing, something else can go wrong then too, dont want a double disaster
Dear Community keep your Faith and Trust and Believe that God is in control you all in my prayers and thoughts❤
I agree we all feel the same, this all is very upsetting as we all have families and we can feel the hurt for them.
It's heart breaking. Shame the poor family members....
So true what this gentleman saying I'm watching from home I'm can't stop my tears for everyone I can't help but cry and praying God be with this situation very long this is so in a emergency we don't have a equipment for such a situation so this is really strange taking like so many days
Very heart breaking in our thoughts and prayers .My heart aches for the family ,friends and colleagues of all ppl trapped in the collapsed structure.
In my thoughts and prayers 🙏
I hope and pray 🙏 that all those people that are underneath are still all safe and that soon they can get helped out safely thanks to all that that are working there helping to save those people out there
Thank you for the update. Our hearts are with the families
With great respect to the family, casualties and the rescuers - This point forward is surely going to be a difficult time in many different ways. Painful and difficult as it is, please allow the appointed people to perform the duties they need to do. It really is for the best to get the area cleared as soon as possible before the detail is communicated, as the messages will also have to be communicated in an orderly fashion, step by step to make it as presentable as humanly possible. The recovery site is now a very sensitive area for everybody involved.
Thanks corinda 🎉
People see what they want to see. Those rescue workers and volunteers need to take a break as well and sometime they are called away from the scene to send K9 in. No one is allowed on the site so if they laugh and talk it's to keep morale up not to celebrate if there is nothing to celebrate
So Delvin is then the only person identified who was rescued. Why wasnt the others identified as well. Why only his family got answers?
Even if there is not much to share can someone please come and speak to the families. Hai bakithi Mzansi. We hope for more survivors.😔😔😔
Yes people will be alive it will be only God will ❤

Many lifes lost, many lifes in danger... now they call it "a crime scene".... we the people have the right to know what happened and the owners have to come forward, talk to the people, bring some answers, bring hope and calmness. Over 40 still underneath, it's frightened...

The employers where are there
People supposed to know their next of kins or family. They have to know please, who is missing at home. Is it possible that they are some who are not from here, but still these are Humanbeings no one has to be scared to tell he/ she is missing someone .
It's now half past 12 and the machinery was standing on the side of the road just outside Mosselbay with loads of traffic cops
So if I understand correctly, family members do not know the identities of the people who have been pulled out? A family member might be in hospital but they do not know?

Seems so to me too and thats wrong, when someone is admitted to hospital their next of kin should be informed

5 days under solid, cold concrete. hope is extremely thin now.
they get feedback every three hours, watch the other news agencies.
Are night vision goggles with heat sensors ineffective in a scenario like this, or is that the stuff movies are made of?

Thing is, finding them is only half the problem, the other half is the weight of the material to be moved.

Please let us not make this a white or black thing. All humans are the same, so let us just pray not only for the trapped and injured people but also for their families, as well as to the people working and putting their lives at risk to save the people trapped Afterwards, when every living person and each deceased body has been found, then we can addressed the owners of this project to tell us where and why did things go wrong. My Prayers to everyone involved to try and save more people that is still trapped.🙏🏻🙏🙏🏾🙏🏼

This is machinery weighing tons...of course the trucks have to drive very slowly!! Going up the pass at Strand, they had to crawl!! Think about that!! Long way to George .
Reporters are sometimes thee biggest problem in transparent news reporting!! Mine is, why is this resue team taking this long
Why was the extra machinery not brought in sooner, the building collapsed on Monday, why did they wait so long to call for more machines, this is ridiculous and then the DA says where they govern they govern better, twak man, these are lives at stake.

The site was unstable. Big machinery could have caused more collapses. The rescue workers have been very professional in what they did and why they did it. Comments like this take away from the amazing work these people have been doing.
