The fact that Katherine does have a scene where Mick Hucknell is referenced in IT Crowd makes this so much funnier.

It still amazes me that Lee finds it so ridiculous that a person who speaks multiple languages would be the 'head of languages'

I believe he was amazed (or pretending to be amazed) that the head of languages would pronunciate like that ("vegetables," etc.). Note that this was likely more about the irony than the practical nature of it - An Austrian would, of course, have a German accent, but it seems ironic that they speak "funny" when their occupation would suggest a mastery of languages.

The occupation suggests a mastery of foreign languages. Therefore it makes perfect sense he would be foreign and have an accent in English. That's why the joke's premise is a bit strange, but nevertheless works with the audience. English speakers have a slightly weird view of language learning, as they're the only ones routinely teaching other people a foreign language despite only speaking one. @@caydennormanton9682

The name of this movie evades me but it's a John Wayne movie and his dog was named dog and it attacked a guy while he was getting hanging he just said dog and it attacked the guy😂
