You have to keep up on alignments. Also get 2 massive wood blocks to put under the rear of the trailer when you’re loading heavy stuff like that. Takes the strain off the suspension which could also mess up your tires. Also the right tires do wonders. I pulled a low pro dove tail 51 footer for a lot of years and only had tire problems twice

Hey Nick catching up on videos. At 1:54 that 3 level cut is referred to as Red Ball Cut because of the red balls on the power lines. A local pilot flew a plane under that power line.... Also that was the last of IH 10 to be done. It bypassed the old road to the South that had been used since the wagon train days. It goes by an old fort and the small community that law man Frank Hammer started his career in. Sorry history nerd and I worked out there for a little while. To you tire problem, check shocks, alignment, and take it easy on those heavy loads. This size tires build more heat than bigger ones. Safe travels brother!!!!

Nick! I still love how that truck sounds. Your videos are always great but sorry for your bad luck with tires. I’ve never had much luck with the small ones when hauling hay down south. Switched it up and started hauling cattle out west. You want an adventure, hook on a bull rack. It changed who I was when I was doing those loads. I turned half crazy wild I swear. Got shit kickers and a cowboy hat. Started smoking. Lol! Stay safe!

You should check the alignment on your trailer axles. I had that issue with a trailer i had. I blew 4 tires on the same axle and side in 300 miles. Took to get checked and the bushings on the axles were blown and deteriorated from dry rot. Once that was replaced it ran like a dream, my MPG increased by 2 mpg.

Have you checked your shocks on that axel as this is what happens over some time, the tires are jumping and that is what causes the cupping on the tread causing one part of the tire to go bald sooner that the rest of the tire, alignment is another reason

Protip if you’re going to a base call ahead and ask what gate you have to go through. Most all bases have a designated truck gate where they inspect you before entering. Saves you the hassle of turning around in a tight spot and there’s always a line of people trying to get in.

The gates are designated for a reason. Can’t tell you how many times trucks mainly those who don’t speak or read English cause traffic jams on our installation because the roads are not built for the length of a truck and trailer at a undesignated gate. So they get stuck trying to flip around. I’m also surprised you were filming on an active installation and did not get told to shut that shit off.

I think you’re dragging the shit out of that front trailer axle. The flat spots that were only on half of the tire says it all. Can’t take that sharp of turns with a spread like you have. Can you dump the air in the front axle to raise it off the ground and then make the tight turn?

Hey Youngblood. Work hard, play hard, and have some fun. There is no such thing as a cheap lesson. Buy quality tires, not that offshore junk, use something like a Balance Master or CounterAct balancing beads, and check your air pressure regularly. Also, like Mr. Big Wheel said, dial it back a bit, especially in the heat. Travel safely.

I run nothing but Chinese on my drives and trailer tires in Canada. I have a 9 axle lowbed setup and haul on lots of gravel and granite and bush roads. I won’t run Chinese on steers. There is more than one type of quality of Chinese tire. I buy the higher teer and never had a blowout yet that wasn’t caused by a rock on a sidewall. There’s def a reason I keep seeing your feed with blown tires though. Love the truck. Edit: if those are 17.5…. I wouldn’t run Chinese. Top quality only on those smal rubber.
