I would like to see a set of use cases with step by step workflows of how BAs would actually combine requirements/API work. I know that BAs should not have to do extensive API work, but we are being asked to do so more and more (regardless of whether that is part of the role). As that occurs, it makes sense to know how to deliver. The two API videos that I saw here were great for theory. Adding some exercises would be awesome!

Your videos are very helpful and so informative! I second Mitali's request on having some discussion on SQL. It will be great if you can cover other topics as well- like experience working on an integration project, data mapping, data flows, etc. These are some of the common requirements that I have come across and I have also been asked in my BA/PO interviews. Lots of developers and QA use PostMan to test APIs so that really is the best way.

I really enjoyed this session, i could relate to it, as am working on a text message project... Twillio Api was an option but we might be using Deeplake communication manager due to lack of resources. The developers that would use the Twillio Api are tied up with other projects... Thank you for your lessons

Thanks a lot for providing these valuable resources, they are really helpful. However, what are some examples of technical requirements a BA may be asked to document? I am working on a project that utilizes a web-to-lead API call but don't know where to be looking at in terms of technical requirement documentation

That's a great question - the first place to look for tech documentation is with the API owner / company. It is in their best interest to get the APIs used and therefore often times they will provide documentation / instructions on how the API will be used.

Swagger API looks like it's a tool for developers so not sure it's something BAs need to know about.

Can we know the difference between them and web services and micro services and environments like SOA architecture and some elaboration on ETL process and Orchestration process and when they are used 🙏

i'm not aware; Business Analyst/Scrum Masters are generally not involved at this technical level.

Is there any documentation exists in which we have a example for documenting api requirements, use cases, work flows. If it is on payments gateway that would be great.

I don't have documentation available but from BA standpoint, you should focus on the functionality vs on "how something needs to happen". BAs focus on the "what" of the functionality while developers focus on the "how". APIs are a big part of the how.

What could be the reason for not wanting to use API?

Security reasons or maybe APIs are not available or working as needed by the company. There could be many reasons.
