I see a lot of magic in warhammer videos, but not LotR videos. I understand there is a lot less magic in middle earth, but can the Nazgûl, Sauron, or the Istari cast spells?

somewhat? the men who would become Nazgul in general range from mundane to sorcerer in origin, so it stands to reason some of them could cast various spells. LOTR in general is considered a soft-magic world. Much of the magic is expressed as fate/unseen divine intervention. The Istari in particular did have specialized domain over certain schools of spell-casting, though again, most of their craft would not be applicable on the battlefield. By the time Sauron launched his 3rd assault on the ppls of middle earth, he is considerably weakened from his former glory. He had physical form, yes, and even though he would still be too great a match for any living foe in Middle Earth in a 1v1, he wouldn't likely have access to a host of spells to cast at will. Even at the height of his power, Sauron was more of a diplomatic antagonist, preferring to outwit his enemies and spin complicated webs of lies to undo & corrupt his foes. He was also a great craftman, and we see him casting spells in the crafting of the rings of power. We don't really get a good sense of all of what he's capable of, tbh.

No kidding. Went from humiliated prisoner to advisor of the king and convinced a people to go to war with God. Put Sauron in the star wars universe and Palpatine wouldn't stand a chance.

I think it makes it realistic to lore if you have friendly fire off for them. They’re good enough to volley with individual accuracy.

2 to 1 ratio is wayyy in favor of the elves as 1 elven soldier equals to like 25+ orcs

In the middle of the battle it looked that the elves has more units. Also orcs ran onto the archers but archers continued far away...

Not all Noldor are High Elves. Only those who spent time under the light of the 2 trees in Valinor/Aman before Morgoth came back to Middle Earth with The Silmirils

все хорошо, но одного не понял - почему орочья кровь красная, если она черная.

Had I been the orc commander I have smashed elven centre with all trolls and huge orc centre from behind. The trolls would have broken the lines while orc would have penetrated deep making the elven archers useless. And have some reserves of approx 2000 for the last moment.

No archer batallion would fire in a close combat, this is totally wrong. For sure they would kill also Elves, this is just wrong. Plus you mention Elven spearmen, while they were just bearing sword and shield.

Noldors from first age elves can beat a 20x size Orc Army.....they were beaten because of Balraugs of Morgoth and trecherous men in the battle of endless tears...the 5th battle of 1st Age

This is nonsense. First off, they aren't high elves. Tolkiens elves had STRAIGHT swords. Secondly, no amount of orcs could overcome high elves. When Fëanor landed in Beleriand and the hosts of Morgoths orcs descended upon him, their vast numbers achieved nothing. The Noldor slew them in their thousands and shattered the vast armies of Morgoth.

They are high elves. The Nolder were the highest of high elves. Secondly, orcs overcome elves numerous times through numbers.

May be elven rly can create army with this numbers but orcs should be much more. In 3 times i quess. And do not ever send axe’s bersexs without shields in front archer

зачем на орков одели броню? если они нисколько не защищает? без брони они были более мобильны и меньше уставали бы. зачем им дали алебарды, если в пешем бою против пехоты удобнее копье? в общем бред полный. Заковать в броню троллей, дам им в руки косу, пустить вперёд и они бы этих эльфов как траву скосили.

What an absolute snore fest this trilogy is. I yawned for nine wasted hours when it came out. Overrated poppycock. The books are even worse. 👎👎👎👎

it's just more of the same shit: orks don't use missile troops, cavalry or flanking but they happily charge spearmen with cavalry.. parade with no shields under rainfall of arrows, use strongest troop in the middle to get them surrounded easier and totally ignore enemy battle line setup.. yeah.. how could THAT possibly end? stop making this nonsense, please?

Nobody is forcing you to watch his videos. There are other channels that do the same. You can go watch them. Don't complain about his way of making of videos when you can easily leave and find new channels that make cinematic battles from total war games as well.
