Ilang-ilang is Tagalog. The Malay term for it is "kenanga" which is borrowed as the genus name Cananga.
Explained very good
Is this an example of reduplication? One of my Italian FB contacts - an educated woman - was thanking people who wished her a happy birthday. She typed "Ringrazio tutti-tutti... etc". "I thank all-all... etc". She meant to stress "all", no-one excepted.
I want to know about the originating morpheme; how do I know if it’s the originating morpheme since it can be the second half, first half, neither or both halves. Please answer I have to explain this lesson on Sunday
