I have 26.6" tires and 3.55 gears. The chart shows 36 tooth for 26" and 34 tooth for 27". Should I use a 35 tooth speedo gear?

I realize this is old video, trying to find out what position that dial is supposed to be at, since it has a series of numbers on it, I'm guessing speed ranges, but not sure

The range on the dial is for the number of teeth on the gear. Select the dial range for what gear you put in.

Thank you sir. im trying to figure out my speedo cable on my 70 dart. I searched the new cable and the end that goes into the speedo gauge is push in, but the aftermarket speedo gauges says they take in the ⅝ 18 screw on. How do i go about this? Thank you sir.

Sorry I can’t answer that. I would call the company gauge you bought and see what they recommend doing or if there is an adaptor.

Hello and thank you for your video. I have really weird question here. So I have Dodge Ram Van 1991 and its running on 904 tranni and 8.25 axle (3.55). I want to swap my 904(its bad) to 727 and I got it for free. But donor van(1993) had 9.25 axle. Also considering that 727 gear ratios are: 1st 2.45 2nd 1.45 3rd 1.00 and 904 ratios: 1st 2.70 2nd 1.54 3rd 1.00. So trannis got different gear ratios and axles as well. What effect I will have if I swap my trannis? Its a stock daily driver van. Also, for some reason my 904 and donor 727 are axact same lenth. According to google, they should be different ? Thank you very much if you can answer my stupid question.

You right it should be 100mm shorter or 4”. 1st gear will help you get up go a little quicker. The torque converters are different. But will bolt up to the same flex plate. You should not have any balance issues with the different transmission. The linkage on the transmission is a little different so not sure how the 904 to 727 will connect. Also the yoke might be different for the driveshaft. You may need to take a look at that.

    You can’t use a 904 torque converter in a 727 or a 727 in a 904.

@@ShopDogFabrication Thank you very much for the reply. Deffenetly you gave me some food to think about it. Especilly linkage) Will triple check linkage prio to swap. If linkage is not possible to use on 727, then I will probably will sell it and refurb my 904.

@@ShopDogFabrication Not sure if you are interested. But I did swapped my 904 trans to 727 from Dodge Ram Van 92(Magnum Engine) in my Dodge Ram Van 91(TBi Engine). I have done around 2k on it. Cruise Control and Overdrive is working.
