Wonder if itd be worth power leveling some characters to 40 after the exp boost stacks up high to get the race mounts ... spend their bronze ... then delete them for more room for characters. - I want to say I have like 38 characters on my account but 15 on the realm I actually play

I have mained a BM Hunter for many years and will make one in remix for farming since they're the kings of solo content. I will then use the cloak to level another mage since I want another and they're also good at solo farming. There's 3 months of this event so the cloak is likely to snowball hard if you do more alts unless it has a hard cap

Making alts early and parking them for rested exp is the way to go for long run.

I think you have to make new toons on a separate instance- this won't work. You can "park" a name you like, then delete it so you can use it during the instanced version.

I think he means make new characters on the remix server and park them in an inn, then level them later

@@stevenpike7857 yep and especially good on Pandarens because of their rested exp racial, but the downside is they don’t have an allied race heritage set which is my priority.

Based on what happened on PTR, a) XP bonus is the only thing that gets transfered over to alts. Meaning I had a toon that got to level 32 with 11% XP Bonus. I started a second toon and I had 0 primary and secondary stats but had 11% xp bonus. I got to the exact same spot as the first (minus 3-4 quests). The second toon had about the same primary and secondary stats (give or take some were higher and some were lower than the first). But the xp bonus rose to 19%. I went back onto the first toon, and their primary and secondary stats did not change and their xp bonus was back at 11%. This could be fixed by the time the event goes live but that was how it worked on ptr. b) Shards drop from most content. Quests will give chests that have a chance to drop shards (both stat shards as well as ability shards). Raid bosses have a higher chance of dropping ability shards. Though you will normally get secondary currency that you can use to purchase whatever shard type (still a chance though it will say you cannot buy any more of a certain ability type if you have them all). c) Higher level gear will provide more shard slots but only certain pieces of gear will be able to equip certain types of ability shards. Like Helm provides a major cooldown ability while boots provide movement ability that can be from any class (Monks with Mage blink).

Question. From a collecting standpoint, is there really any advantage to playing with multiple alts? Would it be more efficient to farm with just one banger AOE toon?

if you started an alt before leveling cloak on main just remove it and re equip it it'll refresh stats

I tried some raid finder but basically got fuck all for XP ...seems like spamming quests is bis for speed

so this is gonna sound dumb but... is transmog available? because i cant stand running around in an assortment of random greens, blues and purples it makes everything 40% less fun

If you have the Grand Yak use that. Or most likely in the main town hub like back in Mist.

So once you get one character up with the cloak so that you can get the maximum XP percentage possible, on any alt you create from that point how long would it take you to get an alt from creation to max level, how many hours?

if the max cloak XP boost is 350%, it will be 3.5x's faster on the next alt, so if it took 4 hours to level, a powerful cloak will probably take less than an hour on the next alt you level. as an example.

Is the cloak the only Bonus exp Option?

Does anybody know if there will be raid lockouts? Can you just farm raids repeatedly for exp and loot?

Is the plus experience a percentage or a plus that amount? It doesn't have a percentage symbol. I take that as +324 xp points on top of what you are gaining. So if 1,000 xp, then you get 1,324 due to the bonus. If you had 324 percent, you'd be getting 4,240 xp. Just curious if it is definitely a percentage.

its % based, so +300% is 3x's the XP. 200 becomes 600 and 50,000 becomes 150,000. with a powered up cloak.

How do you know where all the scenarios are. how to do them? also for these new rares hopefully give people chance get to them so high plays don't kill them fast. Thanks for these guides

There isn't a location. Scenarios are a queue in group finder.

@@TJWolf yes and they unlock based on level and zone. wont get them all at the same time. a couple happen in Krasarang Wilds, you wont have access to until you level enough to enter Krasarang.

How long will this event last? will it be possible to earn all these rewards?

sucks the made the cloak not account bound and nerfed the shit out of the XP you get for alts, makes it 20% slower to level alts in the remix than retail wow.

after thorough testing now leveling 3 chars to max. i can say whole heartedly this just isnt nearly as effecient as a well optimized Regular retail leveling path. You can easily get sub 9 hour 10-70 with good pathing on retail following routes like speedrunner harldan - and this is as a very casual person first timing these routes, with good practice you can easily bring that time down further. I've YET to even come close outside my 3rd char to getting those times. In the time it took to lvl your first char, get cloak strong enough on the second, and then better yet on the third i could have easily leveled double that many characters, and be able to do mythic +, raids, and pvp on those said toons had i leveled them all in normal DF pathing. MoP remix is fun, and very cool way to re-experience the expansion however. Dont let it be mistaken as a good form of Alt army building, its a great event for cosmetics, and a fun pve twist on some classes. IT IS NOT a leveling event though. You'd get INSANELY more mileage from something like winds of wisdom.

btw can we use heirlooms?

probably not, since this mode uses redesigned gearing, with gem slots for added bonuses. the sockets and cloak will render heirlooms moot though.

Q: Is it hard to reach XII with cloak for the toys? Like how far can i get with one character? And when do i stop on a character after max level? Gonna level clases with Allied races switching between Horde and Alliance. With some normal races Vulpera Monk Draenei Warlock Zandalari Shaman Dark Iron Warrior Orc Hunter Priest [maybe Void elf or Human]

According to blizzard you wont get 3xx pct exp on alts

So this MoP Remix is all about leveling now?. Meh, i was hoping it would be totally outside from retail.

It is outside of retail... its in MoP... with buffed exp and stats and crazy skill gems... and a new currency system....
