It's also 150hp at 5000 and 180hp from 6k-7k. Yes, it's heavy but it's making WAY more tq than any liter bike and almost the same HP. The liter will have to play catch-up at 1\8 mile and I don't know if it will or not. Gearing, rider, traction, also has so much to do with it. It would be a good fight though.

Mmmmm I think from the hit the Harley will get it but a roll race where a 600cc or liter is in gear and at about 80mph no Harley is keeping up. It’s like a muscle car they can get the hit but you put them in anything else that’s actually sporty and the Harley’s get dusted. It’s all acceleration and no top end. So yes they probably are faster to 60-80 but after that and the bikes have good traction the sport bikes take over. You can’t break or beat the laws of physics.

Im super glad these guys build these motors and one day ill have one in my electra, and at the same time im super happy for the dude with a H2 or a turbo busa. Just enjoy what you own and live life bro... Not everything needs to be a competition. Do what make you smile the most!!! Atleast we all prefer 2 wheels to 4, Ride safe out there guys. ✌️

Don't know how many cc's a 145 cubic inch motor is, but I do know that it is well over 2000 cc's, you should be very proud that your bike makes roughly the same horse power as a bike that has way less than half the cc's of other bikes, and as the man said, at about three times the cost. Yes, you should puff your chest out and be very very proud.

It also has half the cylinders and is air cooled. Also double the torque. Cool factor also and its american made. New sport bikes arent cheap either. You could do this to a base model softail. I would have to disagree on your observation talking about cc’s. Making the same power as a bike with literally half the size/cc’s is not a good thing. And for 3 times the cost? That’s an even harder loss. Nothing about those two things are impressive. Very very nice bike though and for a NA harley, those power figures are sexy. But thats it. Only sexy compared to other Harley’s 😅 quite a few liter bikes in their STOCK form make more power and there’s even a cruiser or two making this power in their STOCK form. Not to mention the weight difference also. This is just an amazing bike because Harley themselves don’t offer anything close to it. Shame we have to do stage 5 to something just to get it to compete with some bikes stock 😅 being able to buy a 150hp+ Harley from factory would be cool.

I would love to do a roll on from 50-60 mph with my Ducati against this thing!! I am sure its an absolute monster down bottom....but once you are actually going fast the sportbike hits where its strengths are.....remember that a sportbike doesnt even begin making power til 7-8k rpm so out of the hole a Harley can truly take advantage (my Duc makes its power from 8k - 15k where my Harleys its done making power around 6k)....once you are rolling, the power to weight and aero advantage pretty much take over (Its all about physics). Awesome bike Mr Hoke....we see you on the chats all the time....AWESOME to see your bike!!! I agree that adding the carbon wheels is a HUGE upgrade.....I did forged aluminum to my Harley and it made a big difference...but I did carbon to my Ducati and it was out of this world different in every aspect from handling to feel to acceleration...everything just seemed quicker and smoother pretty much everywhere simply from the mass reduction.

@@curtishoke143 My current one (2022) makes 203 at the rear wheel and weights 430lbs full of gas..but still the peak torque is only 90 ft lbs... :D They have come a LONG way in the last 3-4 years. It also doesnt hit redline til 14500 rpm on a 1200cc motor (V4). My old one was a twin cylinder that could only rev to 11500 but the internals of the motor were all titanium so it spun up super quick...(2013) it made 189 at the wheel but was a bit heavier (450 wet). I run with guys that have built 143's making in the 160-170 hp range and super flat torque curves....out the hole they bust me pretty good but once we are rolling I reel them in very quickly....and I just dont have the stones or the skill to launch the Duc to its capability. The new one has wheelie control and wings to create down force so its not so wheelie prone....but still scares the living crap out of me.... :D. You can look at my channel to see some of them....yours is a BEAST though!! Would love to see it in person one of these days!!
