Moonlight by Emily Brontë / Arr. Jess Dives
🌸With the approach of Summer Solstice, it'd be remiss of me not to make some sort of musical offering...this time with a rare sighting of a tenor guitar!
Here's a summer poem written by Emily Brontë, set to music. A fine activity for whiling away the long evenings.🌛🌻
☀️Happy Summer Solstice folks - may the long days of light heat and heal your little souls. ☀️
Moonlight - Emily Brontë
'Tis moonlight, summer moonlight,
All soft and still and fair;
The solemn hour of midnight
Breathes sweet thoughts everywhere,
But most where trees are sending
Their breezy boughs on high,
Or stooping low are lending
A shelter from the sky.
And there in those wild bowers
A lovely form is laid;
Green grass and dew-steeped flowers
Wave gently round her head.
