Loving this build. I feel like all the wotlk resources for balance focus on the hard cast/crit build. I’m finding this much more effective and the play style is very mobile

I think the -0.5 sec cast time on Wrath is the more contentious talent point allocation IMO. That's a huge amount of DPS you're losing for an honestly meager 5% dot/hot effectiveness. Especially considering how easily they are dispelled. Also Raiku has been running the +21 intellect and chance on mana returned on spellcast meta gem which supposedly gives back a lot of mana the more frequently you use spells. And since your playstyle revolves around spamming instant casts you should see a ton of value from it. It's supposedly worth around 75 mp5 assuming you execute a spell every 2s and becomes higher the more frequently you execute spells.

Thoughts on ele vs enhance vs boomkin if you had to reroll to one of them for this season 5?

Great video! But becouse mana doesn't scale for Spell Power I think better meta gem is Insightful Earthsiege Diamond that gives 21 intellect and chanse to restore mana on spellcasts. Mana from it is great and when paired with tailoring mana regen enchant for cloak you pretty much can't go oom.

a great tip in PVP mostly battlegrounds for spellcasters - use noggenfogger, it will make you look like a skelaton melee charater ^^ because as soon as they see a boomkin they will go right after you and only you! - i don't see that happening anymore - can't use them in arena thoo :)

I think Boomkin is Boomkin to land insane crits & nuke strafire! :D I find boomking more fun playing that way, but have to admit, this build could rock too. Thanks for the tutorial, but I'll stay the same old full 4/5 wyrmhide + crit build, cuz i love to see surpised faces instead of playing like an affli lock :P

You may think that, but in reality you are extremely squishy and barely able to hard-cast. This could work in 5v5 and especially in later seasons. It was similar in TBC, Balance had big issues. I found this restokin-like build better.

What about the Idol of Arcane Terror from the venture coin vendor? Gives 131 spirit when you moonfire.

Hi Supertease, great guide, I'm running something simmilar but I'll give this a shot for my 2s. Could you maybe help me understand how the spell penetration works? I thought its only good if I am facing another druid, and to cancel their motw resistance buff?

Thoughts on 3s/5s dps partners? Is frost mage not worth playing with as this dot spec? Incap Dr and disorient Dr seem nice but does boomkin hinder comp bc dots? How about spriest + boomkin?

I'm a 2k boomie. For 2s I like rogue. 3s you can make a lot work. Boomie is good with destro lock, ele in 3s and 5s. I really enjoy boomie destro r sham for 3s. I've played with mages, but starfall will break polys. You have to communicate cc to make it work

i would drop owl frenzy to 1/3 (if you're getting targeted it's going off, period. then drop 1/2 motw for 3/3 eclipse. too powerful to ignore

not realy he is doing max spirit gear look his crit chance is 13% if yu have over 900resil it reduce change by 10% = that mean he has 3% chance to crit + 4% talent it is not woth it with spirit gear. if you go max damage boommi with crit gear ye , but not like this

Hey, playing moonkin on 2k + atm and i wouldn´t use that spec if you wanna get rating. Not to cast in arena is a huge waste of what boomkin can do and achive.

Absolutely not, as it doesn't get Starlight Wrath or Eclipse.

This build seems so fricking boring but I guess that is what playing Boomie in the first 1 or 2 seasons needs to be played :-( nice guide though didnt even know about the z-axis thing

Hey I copy this guide to the letter and I must say it's good yeah but it's lacking in burst it's not good for 2s perhaps 3s it's the king because of its reset value and dots get more value on two targets or multiple but it's not really amazing I might just collect loads of haste because that looks like lazers pew pew but I have at least got 1.3k rezi and I can heal in this gear just fine so it's not all bad but this spec in my opinion is very situational and only will work with certain class I did so many games today with a ret and he was good but we just lost so many but we managed to have fun that's all that I care about but I would say anyone still reading this rambling don't copy this unless your very comfortable playing druid it's for high skill cap people I feel like going full crit or haste and just doing one shot would be most rewarding for the average new player.
