Great review as always. I kind of moved away from full sized headphones due to the temperature here where I live but I do admit sometimes I miss that different kind of sound and I do have my eyes on these. Maybe on 11.11 next year.

Gm ☕️ Great review ..I’ve already got the Sen’s 650 and the HiFiman 400i 2020 …so I think I’m covered. Personally as for my favorite Moondrop…KATO or Variations 😊

I wish it was possible for you to do comparisons when reviewing headphones as well, like you do with IEMs. Surprisingly enough, I haven't seen a review directly comparing these with Sundara, which is bummer... I was quite excited about Para, but your review has honestly left me underwhelmed. But I trust your impressions...

TBH I was on the fence, ultimately it was my personal lack of enthusiasm to pick up the Para and listen that made it 3* despite being perfectly fine.

I think midfi isn't worth it: either go entry level and get a $200 staple like the Sundara or the HD6X0, or go big and get one of those sub $1000 models like the Arya or the Clear (you can often get them for cheaper since there are a lot of open box/refurbished deals on discontinued models like the Clear OG or the Arya V2)

@@andrearenaudo9045 I do the he Hifiman HE 400SE which iv modified...and alot of times mid-fi is what people can afford (as in my case) not everyone can afford to spend 1k on headphones. Also after modding my HE400SE...they actually sound better than my friend's Sundara's, so yeah, hence my question in the first place.

Curious if you could review the Aune AR5000, heard it's really good, like an unveiled HD600 with soundstage. Heard it's better than the Para.. I already have one on the way but I'd love it to be more publically known.

I had to sell this headphone to me the bass has no weight and no body to it unless the volume is louder but then the 3khz emphasis makes it too shouty in the female vocal region and the treble reminds of a Beyer dynamic so too sibilant or sharp in fact the 900pro X has less sharp treble and far better bass extension to me. An issue that may be a problem is the magnets on the pads could change the tonal balance depending on the orientation they are placed in on the pads themselves since there is a decent width piece of metal between each hole. I still think sundara is better then this so to be honest the price isnt actually that great of a deal to me. Id recommend getting the aforementioned Beyer 900prox over this for better mids and bass extension and treble is somewhat similar but slightly smoother still. Truly a headphone bargain going unnoticed by most of the audiophile crowd due to its studio nature.

Another competitor is Verum 1, whether you like it or not. Even before Verum's written apology, sales didn't seem to slow down much.

True. I mean, even if they were rude you're either supporting a single guy or your supporting some massive company in China, so basically pick your poison. Just focus on the quality of the headphone for the price pretty much.
