About David Bowie:
David Bowie redefined musical genres and the potential of live performance for generations of music lovers. Creating and discarding a variety of personae and restlessly challenging musical boundaries, Bowie released timeless albums including Space Oddity, Hunky Dory, The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust…, Aladdin Sane, Diamond Dogs, Young Americans, Station to Station, "Heroes,” Let's Dance, Heathen, The Next Day and many more. Blackstar, Bowie’s 28th and final studio album, was released on his 69th birthday, January 8, 2016. David Bowie died on January 10, 2016, two days after the release of Blackstar. His body of work, his influence on the worlds of music, art, fashion, film, theatre and beyond, and his legacy of innovation and reinvention will live forever. 2022 kicks off with Bowie at 75, a celebration of his 75th birthday with the Brilliant Adventure box set, the previously unreleased Toy, the 50th anniversary of Ziggy Stardust and a series of special events.

By A.O. Scott - Sept. 15, 2022 ‘Moonage Daydream’ Review: David Bowie’s Sound and Vision Instead of plodding through the chronology of Bowie’s life and career, Morgen conjures the singer’s presence through an artful collage of concert footage and other archival material, 1:03 including feature films and music videos. There are a lot of great songs, and thanks to Morgen’s dexterous editing, Bowie himself seems to provide the narration, a ghostly effect (he died in 2016) that resonates with some of his ideas about time, consciousness and the universe. When Bowie passed away, all that month I mourned him, I wept off and on all that January. It's notoriously a difficult month for me having lost a brother, and several other loved ones in different years but all in January. So I'm generally more emotional during January in general, so when we lost David Bowie & Alan Rickman (another I adored) it hurt so much more. I think the fact that it felt so out of nowhere, no time to prepare, feeling blindsided, made it so much more shocking. I know David was just a human, like all of us, but he really had some kind of magick that was so rare, so BEAUTIFUL, I don't think anyone else will ever bring this world that kind of magick again. What a gift he was to this world.

I don’t think Bowie is right for a simple biopic or a standard documentary of his discography. He was an artist first, so I don’t want to be told who David Bowie was, but find out who he is through his art; as that is the best way to discover his philosophy. I look forward to this.

So. This confirms what I always suspected - that a lot of his 90s music videos were shot on film and edited on video. There's clips from at least Fame '90, Jump They Say, The Heart's Filthy Lesson and Strangers When We Meet here in glorious HD. I hope this means that a fully restored set of music videos is possible in the future - cos I'd buy that blu-ray box set in a heartbeat.

THIS IS AWESOME , Thanks for this video im going to defo see this video and buy it , im 64 yrs old and i met bowie in 1973 my rock hero face to face and the spiders from mars at Aberdeen Scotland train station 15TH OF MAY mick ronson trevor boulder wood woodmansey and mike garson it was all a stroke of luck as my uncle used to work at the british rail station in aberdeen for yrs and one of his co workers was working late shift the night bowie and the spiders was arriving off the train coming up from london to start the Ziggy Stardust tour he called me and said you better get your ass down here to the station ASAP if you want to see Bowie your rock hero i said no way your joking me he said i will only tell you one more time get down here if you want to see David Bowie and the spiders ASAP , so i did me and my school mate got on the bus and ran to the train station only to meet my rock hero David Bowie standing right in front of me i was shocked couldnt believe it ,can you image . I put out my hand to major tom and he shook my hand i knew then i was meant to meet bowie but why and for what reason god only knows but the experience was magical and i have never forgot it and will never ever forget this till the day i die, he bent over on one leg to give me his autograph and i couldnt help myself i ran my hand and fingers thru ziggy stardust's hair and he just laughed he was a very nice person and so was the rest of the group , i managed to find in the book moonage daydream that mick rock and bowie published a photo of me standing with bowie trouble is my back is to the camera but i know its me so thats ok with me i have it now so im happy , the only downside was the next day bowie was playing at the music hall in Aberdeen and i got my ticket and got my hair all spiky and colored same as bowie and when my mates came to my door for me to go with them my mother and my prick stepdad didnt let me go i was in total shock he has passed away couple yrs ago good hahaa he was a total prick. anyway i did finally manage to see bowie live in Edinburgh 1983 on the serious moonlight tour and the thompson twins were on tour with him and they were awesome too ,so there it folks thats my story of meeting my Rock hero David Bowie shaking his hand and touching ziggys hair for real and meeting Mick ronson also was awesome and the rest of the spiders R.I.P David Bowie the starman and R.I.P Mick Ronson the star guitarist . cheers .

The day that David died, I dreamed that I was walking in a vast hall full of antiquities and secret knowledge. Suddenly he appeared, walking at my side, and we perused the dusty shelves full of mystery. His presence was comforting, and he turned to look me in my eyes and said “for as long as you live, a part of me will live on in you”. He was a magnetic, fascinating character… We all felt like we knew him, didn’t we? ✨🙌🏻🎵 I don’t watch many films in the theatre, but this will be one not to miss on the big screen.

Regardless of who, or what Bowie/ Stardust was, I know that this being was very powerful and very special. I feel that his heart be and soul was in touch with things, and aware of things that most of us are not. He absolutely loved life, and understood the bigger picture of existence. Not that he never experienced difficult times, but his perspective on life and living was beyond what many of us ever learn to grasp. His art expressed this in such a way that it allowed people to indulge in life through his eyes, and and his soul, if just for a few moments. Thank you.
