Had to get the og cover too, the bright older-comic-style blue night sky really makes it stand out against the other Moon Knight covers I've gotten so far.. So much black and white covers, seeing colors on them makes the book feel more unique to me. 😁

Agree, I've always loved this cover - minor point, but the original issue had the title in a very vibrant red, which looked really good, I wish they had kept that, but the white looks pretty good too though.

@@goosey235 I feel that. I get that feeling every time a Marvel omni's preview cover has the cool spacey white dots, and the actual release is just a solid black. Like Peter David's Hulk vol 3, the Marvel Universe Guide Omni, and the lack of a buncha BG 300's in the Michelinie/Mcfarlane black-suit cover. 😅

This is one of my most anticipated Omnies of the year! Never read the stories but with writers like Dixon, DeMatteis and Mackie, how could I say no to this?

Can't wait to pick this up - this is "my" Moon Knight as well (too young to catch the original series) - one of my favorite titles when I was about 12 or so!

Despite this run ditching a lot of Marc’s more iconic elements, I do really like the Chuck Dixon issues of this run. Especially the Punisher team ups.

Looking forward to this one. The Marc Spector years are my favorite Moon Knight.

I'm in the same position. I want that Squirrel Girl and this Moon Knight omni so bad, but it's my last semester and I just don't have the time to earn the disposable income required to spend it on them right now. Hopefully they won't go out of print before I can afford them.

Looks effin GREAT! I’m adding this one to my collection. Not so sure I care about the next volume though. Much prefer they finally print an omni containing Ellis, Bunn and Wood’s stories.

I am super excited about X-Men the animated series omnibus my childhood collection omnibus and now this Omnibus right here will be my early 36th birthday present in April. Just as an FYI if you’re watching this video on your phone you need to watch it in do not disturb/focus mode so that you have a moon in the upper corner of your phone as an added effect. Keep the branding on point

I was born in 1980. During the early 90’s I had the first 30/40 issues of this run up to and including the round Robin side kicks revenge arc ❤ I used to read this run of comics over and over and over again 😅 this and Peter David’s Pantheon era hulk run - so I’m definitely picking this Moon Knight omnibus up!👌

Really happy this ended up coming out. Not because I bought it up but it was a huge gap digitally on MU and any other places. Now it’s not complete but they have what’s in here. Whoop whoop! Great vid!

Marvel been giving Moon Knight his flowers recently

A few questions. Why was moon knight away before the series began? Is there a reason why he doesn’t have multiple personalities in this series? Maybe took his meds? Does this series require any previous moon knight reading?

I hate having to wait till next week when I get paid to pick it up cos this is one of my most anticipated omnibus of the year. I haven’t read this stuff since I was a kid but it was my Moon Knight growing & I remember loving it. I like both covers but I’ll probably going with the standard.

When I get this, it will be the first time my bookshelf (or rather a small part of it) would look like yours (as in every omni from a character collected). Hoping for volume 2, fingers crossed

Thanks for the overview Omar! As far as a Volume 2, I think the James Fry art is better than Platt's stuff. I didn't feel that way as a kid, but looking as the SPlatt issues again as an adult, they are pretty rough and incoherent, with some cool isolated images.

Bro! I use to ride my bike to buy Marc Spector floppies from LCS and I didn’t even wear a helmet.

My copy of this arrived today. I have never read it before but Moon Knight is one of my favourites so I had to. I really hope they do a volume two, even if the stories aren't as good. On a kind of related note, I'd really love it if they do a modern MK omni with some of the shorter runs. I have them all in regular sized paperbacks but would loooove to own them in oversized format. Finally, I hope Jed Mackay's MK will run long enough and be popular enough to get an omni one day. It is the first comic book run I'm reading as it's coming out so I think it will always be special to me because of that (and it's good!)

Omar, these videos are so good. Tempts me to get into these books though I think my wallet will prefer to stick with Epics. Hoping that the Moon Knight line continues in that form. Definitely thought it was an odd choice, though, to include the current ugly Moon Knight logo on the main cover rather than the Marc Spector: Moon Knight logo. Is the logo the same on the regular release spine?

Somebody recolored Sable's hair. It looks like it was the original colors, but brightened up a lot.

Omar, consider getting a micrometer. Grab 100 pages with it and read the thickness. Do the same in other book and now we have something objective to compare.

Very nice omnibus. i am glad they collected the Spider-man round robin issues. A second Omnibus will probally follow in a year or two. Do you think there is enough material for an omnibus of the second run and Moon Knights guest appearances?

Kinda sounds like it has all the elements i love in af superhero story. Dark and greedyness mixed with street level crimes with some references to real world problems at the time of publishing with grounded characters. :) Love how the colors are used in the first couple of issues. Dunno if it just me, but that gives it some horror vibes. :D Would Omar anyone else for that matter recommend this as a good jumping on point? :)

I really enjoyed most of the stories in here specifically the mercenary arc and the scarlet redemption arc. Volume 2 goes off the rails a bit (read: dumpster fire) but I love it anyway and can’t wait to see it in Omni format

While volume one had less issues, it was running quite some time. It was bi-monthly for quite some time.

I noticed moon knight vol 3/4 skipped due to a few issues or something. Maybe it will be published on the next omnibus book with this?

How are people getting books delivered before they release? I've bought from all the top direct market retailers and have never had a book ship before Tuesday let alone receive it!

MK was always half way between DD and Punisher MK met Spidey in Amazing Spider-Man vol 1 #220. Jeff is Midnight Man's son.

Moon Knight is a character I've always been hesitant to dive into. If I had to dip my pinky in, would you say this is the best place to start or another omnibus?

I'd say the first epic collection but it's really just cameos in other comics and his origin which was kinda all over the place because he debuted as a villain, it's a slow erratic series but once Bill Sienkiewicz comes in at the start of epic volume 2 it is a lot better more action packed and focused on the characters. I'd say epics volume 2-4 (which is part of this omnibus) is the perfect introduction to Moon knight 📚

Chuck Dixon = autobuy

What kind of world do we live in where we get a Moon Knight by Dixon omnibus before we get a Nightwing by Dixon omnibus? Or a Robin by Dixon, or Birds of Prey by Dixon, or any of the Batman family omnibuses? Get your house in order, DC! ...I think I'll be getting this. I wasn't overly fond of the initial omnibus, and have yet to buy volume 2, but this looks like it should be more to my taste.

I'm really loving the fact that Marvel is willing to omnibize this type of '80s and '90s middle of the road content. When I say middle of the road I just mean you know the quality is kind of mid-level, the characters are not the top of the marquee for Marvel (that brutally bad TV show notwithstanding)... I love the normal monthly grind comics, not everything is a masterpiece, but that doesn't mean we don't want to read the mediocre stuff in a nice edition and I'm very glad for these. Hopefully Marvel isn't flooding the market too much with all this stuff. I'm seeing some big sales and deep discounts lately on Omnibuses that have come out over the last couple years--liquidation and overstock.
